Wonderful Movie
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
This movie is beyond my wildest imagination about romance. Nowadays, nobody sacrifice so much that they give all to their loved ones. After watching you will learn that
Although the film captured most of the story from the manga. The main downfall was the ending. That was very shocking, I would have like the ending from the manga to question viewers whether he did die or not. Instead of actually giving viewers closure.Overall, the film did not fail to capture the emotional side of the manga, this was definitely a tear-jerker.
This is probably not the film for optimism and hope but it is definitely the best film for love and life. Living is sad with heartbreaks. Even so, if I knew what await me, I would still meet you and fall in love with you. Because knowing you is the best thing I have done.It does not matter what await me at the finish line, what matters is I have spent my time, life, and love for you.~The film reflect truthful about a life of a person with heart condition since born, Takuma. Especially, when doctor diagnose that he could not reach his 20. Surprisingly, he does not fear of death. Instead, he is very well- prepared. What he fears lie in people he loves.
This is the third Japanese romance I've watched where someone has a fatal health condition. I guess it is supposed to be moving, but isn't it too obvious and oversimplified?I found "I give my first love to you" to be quite shallow. (Even the title sounds ridiculous.) Issues like "death" and "living" are not that easy to portray. As for the romantic part of the film... well that didn't work out either. There was no chemistry between the two main characters, their love seemed out of place... Two hours were way too long, the movie was slow and boring, many scenes felt unnecessary. That said, Mao Inoue is cute as always and there are a few nice nature shots... Overall, it's not worth it.
