One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This movie is an embarrassment to Audrey's legacy and to fans alike. I base this not on the fact that JL looks and sounds nothing like Audrey Hepburn but the fact that the producers and the writers failed to do any sort of research on Audrey as a person.1. Audrey was a very private person and they failed to even take notice of that, they made it seem that she flaunted her relationships around when she really didn't. And as for the monologues I seriously doubt Audrey made any of those speeches JL made as her. 2. Also both the relationships she had with both her mother and father were completely wrong her mother was not as loving as she was portrayed in the movie and her father was not as cold as shown either. 3. The sets for the movies Breakfast at Tiffany's and Sabrina were completely wrong and filmed out of sequence it was like JL didn't even see the originals I'm surprised they got the wardrobe right.4. I believe the movie would have done fine with the same cast if they would have just tried not to make Audrey's life such a drama to grab ratings also if they would have researched and showed more of her life beyond Breakfast at Tiffany's as if that was her only defining role.

This film did have problems, but I felt I had to chime in if for no other reason than to offset some of the mean-spirited commentary. Why must actors or performances that people dislike be described as terrible? Jennifer Love Hewitt is a talented actress. She may not have been in tip-top form in this film, but I think she deserves a lot better than some of the "reviewers" have given her.Re the physical similarity or dissimilarity between Ms Hewitt and Ms Hepburn: Very few people in the world look like Audrey Hepburn. Of those, precious few are marketable in a nationally broadcast TV movie. Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn't perhaps the ideal choice, but she wasn't a senseless one either.

I am one of the biggest Audrey Hepburn fans out there and this movie made me literally cry.Jennifer Love Hewitt was horrible. Her accent in the movie was NO where near Audrey's. Her laugh and personality didn't capture anything. Plus, not only was Hewitt horrible, but the plot was too. A lot of the events in the movie did NOT happen in Audrey's real life. Sean Hepburn-Ferrer, Audrey's son said he watched this movie and was very disappointed. Well if i was her son, i would be too! When people say someone else should have played Hepburn, like Natalie Portman, or Winona Ryder, that's also ridiculous. NO ONE in Hollywood history could EVER be Audrey Hepburn. She was graceful, classy, had an amazing sense of style and something that can't be described. What a disappointment.

There is nobody better suited for the part of playing Audrey Hepburn than Claire Forlani. Forget Natalie Portman, forget Winona Ryder. Watch Claire in Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt or Boys And Girls with Freddie Prinze.Once you look into it, you'll agree with me and you will ache thinking about how perfect it could have been with her and not Jennifer Love Hewitt. Claire not only looks very much like Audrey Hepburn, she even seems to carry some of her mannerisms. Even deliberately so in Boys And Girls. And I don't think there is any question Jennifer Love Hewitt is probably one of the lesser elegant actresses out there, not even to mention she just doesn't have the chops for more than TV shows like Party Of Five or I Know What You Did Last Summer.Maybe Claire will get her chance in a better production soon.
