Very well executed
It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

An ex-con tries to get back custody of her son with the help of an idealistic young public defender and at the same time falls into a romantic fling with a traumatized former US soldier. Despite the familiar faces and the good perfomances from the cast 'Who We Are Now' goes into familiar dramatic territory that is neither sad or moving it's actually quite boring and it wastes the actors completely since none of the characters are actually developed well and unfortunately they just did not work that well on the script it seems. It's a real look of how hard life can be and the choices we have to make everyday. Do we want to be right or happy? I thought the acting was fabulous and the story was original. Two thumbs up
