By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The ending about the robots being slaves and being set free is all a bit too much. This movie is from a book of short stories, the author obviously has a hardcore mindset about this type of stuff - almost like he takes it way too seriously. This flick could've had a better alternative ending, but the film wanted to clearly make robots on the same level as humans with emotions, it nearly spoils the film, it's so out there that this type of thing will never happen in reality, robots can only be advanced to a certain point, but feelings and emotions - no that is ridiculous. The movie at times makes the robots so human-like to the point where at times you feel sorry for them.I, Robot is an attractive film, but is illogical, the ending forces the viewers to look at these robots as though they are actually human, it wouldn't be surprising if the author of the short story series and the writers of this film are atheists, the story is 100% unrealistic, the truth is God made man and woman aka humans, nowhere is it stated in the Bible that robots are made to be just like humans, robots are important in today's society, but not to the extent as the portrayal in this flick. Also want to add about the scene with the cat, as an animal lover i'm hoping that the cat was a CGI cat (the scene with the cat all wet in the pool with Will Smith) cats hate water, i don't believe that was a real cat in that scene due to his/her eyes being two completely different colors.

Set in the year 2035, Will Smith stars as "Detective Del Spooner", he doesn't like and doesn't trust the robots of society due to a bad experience. Bridget Moynahan plays "Dr. Susan Calvin". The main plot is the scepticism about the suicide of "Dr. Alfred Lanning" (James Cromwell) the co-founder of U.S. Robots and Mechanical Men.The CG robots are entertaining to watch, their movements and interactions with humans in everyday life is a clever portrayal. The plot can be confusing, so it's better to watch this film more than once to understand it fully.Another scenario is that the robots actually have feelings, this one particular robot "Sonny" (Alan Tudyk) can actually be titled as one of the main characters. His performance is very moving. There's a lot of great CGI scenery, the film has great pacing, good acting and perfect directing.

The movie I robot is the Isaac Asimov's book of the same name. The movie is about a policeman against advance technology, where people depend more and more on thecnology and less on themselves. In a near future where robots become a part of daily life in the cities to make easier the process. There are three laws that govern the robots: Law I: A robot may not harm a human or, by inaction, allow a human being to come to harm Law II: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law Law III: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second lawThis laws may seem contradictory so they can preserve at all costs humanity. But when humanity doesn't want protection, what happens? If I order a robot to kill someone that may or may not harm, they must obey. But according to their laws they can't, because they are not killing machines. So the mere purpose of robots is to reduce to statistics and calculations so they can act, even against their owner. So their rules become null when there is a higher purpose at hand, they act on duty but we don't. https://pensarparaserfeliz.wordpress.com/2017/04/09/i-robot-and- minimalism/

Yes, I know, there is so much material in the stories of "I, Robot" for to do a single movie about it, but I saw the movie with the hope to see a few of the characteristic intelligence contained in the problematic planted by Assimov around the robots, it's relation with the humans and the logic that rules them. Nevertheless, the movie conforms with go straight into the old cliché of the machines rebellion against the humans and the typical plot of the action movies - run to save the world before the countdown finishes and be too late. The movie is full of action, slow-mo moments, special effects and to much ultra-futuristic (and almost ridiculous) gadgets, in other words, entertainment for sure. In the other hand, there is a lack of the Isaac Assimov's vision, stories and characters; about this last ones, I must to say that even the many few of them who are taken from the original text where adapted in such a way that loss the major part of their essence. As a summary, and to conclude, the movie itself is pretty well done and comply in its first objective to entertain, but the writers go to far in their ambitions, leaving us with a weak taste of Assimov, almost diluted between scene and scene of this action movie. That's what I think. See, enjoy and judge yourself.
