Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Came across this film a few months ago and was blown away. Simple premise of lonely boy desperate for a father figure finds solace and friendship in a fighting robot. Yes it's cheesy and some what predictable but the whole film made me smile throughout. Hugh Jackman plays the wayward father looking for direction while his son is looking for the father he never had.The robot is the pragmatist that brings them together. Fight scenes are good and the interaction between the characters is charming. Many films of father and son coming together rely on a love interest this thankfully doesn't . So sit down and enjoy and film that will leave you feeling warm inside.

ROCKY similar story only one big different robots and little things in story line. but its really enjoyable movie to watch really good CGI and good effects but i think its not a lot. yea its cool to watch fighting robots with really good effects but nope. if you like story you must watch ROCKY and not real steel but if you are watching for enjoy its really good movie to waste time. 10/4 - meCharlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) used to be a prizefighter but lost his chance to win a title when heavy, towering robots took over the boxing ring. Now working as a small-time promoter, Charlie pieces together scrap metal into low-end fighters, barely earning enough to make it from one underground venue to the next. After hitting rock bottom, Charlie reluctantly teams with his estranged son, Max (Dakota Goyo), to build and train a championship robot for a last shot at redemption.and now rocky review.Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a small-time boxer from working- class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian (Talia Shire), the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie (Burt Young).that's mini review of film but this two movies have similar ending.
