I remember back in the day when "Tremors 4" played on Sci Fi Channel all the time and since I've always been a big fan of westerns a prequel traveling back to the old west was really up my ally. Michael Gross returns yet again to play Burt's ancestor Hiram Gummer who now has to protect the town of Perfection then "Rejection" from the invading worms in 1889. I would say its a pretty good guilty pleasure movie. It's not as good as the first two of course but I think I enjoyed it better then part 3. S.S. Wilson returns to direct and the film goes back to use of practical effects only using CGI when its needed. The cast is OK even tho some of them seem kinda bland, Billy Drago shows up for about 15 minutes only to get eaten and while I like him he isn't the greatest here. It's defiantly the most mediocre cast of the series, so far anyways next I'm gonna tackle the two revival sequels so we'll see how they fare.

I think Tremors 4 was a little bit better than the 3rd one but it never tops the first and 2nd films in the series. Showing us how this whole thing started was pretty good and having Michael Gross again as a wild west Burt but not so badass was pretty cool as well. I think this one is more comedy than action something that pretty much works this is a great franchise to me and i believe with each sequel it gets even better but i will always choose the first and 2nd films because the effects looked better and the cast was better but i have to admit it the effects on this one were so much better than the ones in the 3rd one it had cgi but not too much. Tremors 4 was a big surprise and i believe it was a great sequel to the franchise.

Fourth and hopefully final Tremors movie is a prequel set in the Old West. Michael Gross returns, playing the great-grandfather of the character he played in the previous three movies. The joke is that gung-ho survivalist Burt Gummer's ancestor was a dandy. It's amusing for a moment but when you realize that's the only bullet the movie has in its gun, you lose interest. This is a very cheap and bland movie. Not at all in the league of the original Tremors or even the last two sequels. It reeks of being a desperate attempt to wring more out of the franchise than was necessary. I can't hate them for trying. Anyway, it's not very good and I'm sure only die-hard fans will find value in it. I didn't laugh once and there are long stretches with no action, so it's pretty dull.

It's 1889 in the town of Rejection, Nevada. A recent Graboid attack in the nearby silver mine has empty most of the town. The remaining few must rally around the newcomer to town and mine owner Hiram Gummer (Michael Gross) to restart the abandoned mine and battle the monsters.Like the 'Back to the Future' franchise, once they travel back in time to the old west, there's something about the old west that seems to be a black hole for franchises. That's what this movie represents. It says somebody has run out of ideas. The Graboid hasn't metamorphosed yet. So only the ground burrowing kind is there this time. That's probably a good thing. Michael Gross is the only one left in the franchise. There really isn't anything left. This vein is truly played out.
