Great Film overall

Did you people see the same film I saw?

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

This is not the worst but also not the best. It is a middling horror movie. I was disappointed with the lack of gory killing but the implied violence is pretty cool. The twist was interesting the first time but once remembered it becomes a bit stupid. The idea of having sex to stay alive is a good one and the teen orgy was genius but still handled in a generic manner. Worth a watch for horror fans.

"Cherry Falls" is your typical modern slasher with a twist, this time the victims are virgins. Basic plot is a killer is on the loose & killing virgins. Now the sheriff must find out who it is before the body count rises. It stars Brittany Murphy & Michael Biehn both of who are very good here. There are some funny lines here & there also. The rest of the cast did a good job as well. There isn't a lot of blood or gore due to the cuts I mentioned earlier but there is some.Just about everything in "Cherry Falls" is somehow clever and quick-witted. First of all, just take a minute to ponder the name of the town. The concept of a killer taking out virgins instead of disreputable teens is also something the movie has going for it. Another asset is a well thought out script by writer Ken Selden with a surprise reveal that hearkens back to the suspenseful who-dun-its like "Prom Night," "My Bloody Valentine," and even the later "Scream". Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying "Cherry Falls" is perfect by any means. There are plenty of stale performances and overacting from a largely young cast. "Cherry Falls" is one of the more adept entries in the slasher genre. Much of this is owed to the combination of a sincere performance from Brittany Murphy, an ingenious turnabout in plot, and the familiar use of a surprise ending.Overall rating: 7 out of 10.

Well, although it already has a few years he had never even heard of this film teen horror, but when I saw the name of the sadly now deceased Brittany Murphy, actress who always had and still has for me a special magnetism finally decided checking out.The film begins well enough, with the murder of a couple, a classic in the genre, about to lose her virginity, and maintains an interest and atmosphere more or less to half of the film, which unfortunately has started to deflate both attention and pace to reach a climax pretty weak in my opinion. It has some qualities like atmosphere and made some suspense, the presence of Murphy and Michael Biehn, a scene of self-defense when they practice exercises and left me a little confused when it is stretched over it, I know your but I noticed something odd about the pose and expression of both, finally, they may be my imagination, anyway both do a proper performance before the cameras, the inevitable air that gives the film Scream, and generally an acceptable development of the plot, although this is losing strength as it moves ,.But that can not cover the fact that she has a history caught by the hair, with very few murders and gore if not almost nothing for my taste, a murderer who causes anything but fear and a really weak climax, ¨ the course Hymen Holocaust, which is more light than I've seen in a horror film, and I have seen few precisely.A film that seems to promise something strong and distinct but falls just into something acceptable and entertaining in which the filmmakers never really get to dive into the pool despite playing with an idea and concepts with which if could have echo, remaining as in So a suggestive in some points but routine and predictable in the rest slasher.

This movie is nothing but excellence. I actually enjoyed it and would recommend this movie to a friend. The only thing that I don't really like about this movie is that it doesn't have enough chase scenes. Although the movie doesn't have many epic chase scenes, every second of the movie is crawling with suspense. The setting is in the quiet, small town of Cherry Falls. A series of murders begin to become common with teenage virgins. Likewise, all the teenagers have a party where they all plan to lose their virginity to take themselves off the endangered spices list. Mayhem breaks out and the police forces of the town are left clueless. Jody, the sheriff's daughter, helps solves the mystery. Throughout the film deadly secrets are revealed leaving you wanting more. Will the town's teenagers survive?
