The film attempts to cram 40 years of history into 2 hours. It starts with Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) dropping acid and hanging out with the counter culture group. It shows us that he was a very flawed man and early on is called an a-hole. In addition to glimpses of Steve's personal life, we see his difficulty in dealing with the various suits who want to make dollars and sense of the company. The main problem with the film is that Jobs is the only character that is developed and he is unlikeable. There is very little connection to the viewer. While I love a 60's music soundtrack, the songs they selected were hit and miss with clearly better selections available. The credits show us a picture of the real life individual next to the actor that played them as a way to say, "Aren't we clever?" The secondary actors were cardboard cutouts. The film sends a message of innovation and thinking outside of the box, which is weakened by the personality portrayed of Jobs. Worth a view as a rental.Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.

I saw the movie and I loved it. For me it doesn't really matter if it is truthfull or not so truthfull about Steve Jobs; it is a movie so I consider it as pure entertainment and it did entertain me a lot. Also I thought Ashton Kutcher is doing a good acting job on this movie as well as the other actors; especially Dermot Mulroney stands out as Mike Markkula. All with all; it is a movie and not the official biography of Steve Jobs.

i saw this movie after I've seen Steve Jobs the movie. While I thought Steve Jobs was unfair in it's portrayal of Steve Jobs, I found this movie closer to the legend of Steve Jobs that I grew up with.Although the movie was not meant to be the biography of Steve Jobs, I thought it did credence to the man Steve Jobs really was.Ashton Kutcher really looked like Jobs when he was younger, and his acting captured what it would have been like to be around Jobs in the nascent years at Apple. So I give higher mark for this movie than the other Steve Jobs movie for the truism it has about the person and career of Steve Jobs. Oh, did I mention that this movie was fun to watch ?

Other than practically nailing their likenesses, the actors are not good at representing their counterparts, at all. Dialogues are filled with awkward behavior, characters talk like they seem to be inspired, in particular Steve Jobs (I know it's a dramatization, but it's a bad one at that), sometimes they talk with the volume too low, among many others. Also, if they wished to show incorrect or downright manipulated scenes (A.K.A. events or details that didn't actually happen in real-life), they could at least do it for the sake of dramatizing it, like The Social Network did really well: all of the changes in this movie from real-life events aren't of any decent value and just feel like they don't belong in either a Biographic film, where the main objective is to tell exactly what happened (or at least "mostly"), or a Biopic, which is what this is supposed to be.Overall, not a good depiction of Steve Jobs's life, and not a good movie in and of itself.
