Thanks for the memories!
Good movie but grossly overrated
Fresh and Exciting
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
They did not have the same budget for this Lord of the Rings-ish film, but they certainly made the most of it and I can admire that. The film has a really awesome score, though, and great costumes and great locations. Some scenes are absolute fantastic with great photography, others not so great, but certainly not bad! Ultimately, I thoroughly enjoyed this fantasy action adventure with very likable characters. There are wizards and magic throughout the film and towards the end ogres, orcs, and giant spiders - this was really entertaining! Loved it.
I originally helped this on Kickstarter and once i got to watch it i saw first 10-15min and turned it of, but then many years later i had nothing to watch and thought i would watch it and give it more of a chance and found myself impressed and looking for next one. All in all long as you don't mind it being a low budget movie and into fantasy then this i would say give more than 10-15 min and you'll prob find yourself trying to find next one
I loved this movie. Their are many big budget films that don't satisfy me. Many have lacked a real story and depend on big budget CGI. BLEH! I much prefer a story with heart. I have found that in this movie. I've been watching, reading, playing and game mastering fantasy adventure for almost 40 years and I loved this movie. Yea, it could be more polished, and yea the special effects could be more spectacular, but I loved the story and the characters and the music and the actors. I am looking forward to watching and owning the rest of these. I want to see these characters form their bonds, overcome great odds, show us the meaning of courage, perseverance and friendship. Please keep them coming!
This is a good movie with a lot of positive messages in there for young women. It's pretty ambitious and in my opinion they pulled it off. As a point of reference, the Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey cost an obscene $180 Million to make.To me, it's important to support Independent Film and it's fantastic what they did on their limited budget with this film. Moreover, I really appreciated Melanie Stone's performance. The optimism she portrayed in her character's thirst for adventure and for doing the right thing was 100% believable and infectious. All the cast did well, but Melanie's performance seemed especially authentic and made me want to stick around to see what happened.I will be watching the rest of this trilogy.
