The Worst Film Ever
If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
A different way of telling a story
There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
I watched the first movie, Valentine's Day, in a theater and honestly it was not good but thanks to familiar faces it was not a torture neither. However, this movie does not even have a topic except the BALL thing, and it is still not the worst thing yet. These movies are commercially successful, c'mon guys we don't deserve such empty movies with bad script. DO NOT WASTE your time.
Love Actually came to mind when viewing this movie. Unfortunately, it could not compare to the British beautifully woven tapestry that was Love Actually. Star studded for sure so where did it go wrong? The writing was probably reasonably scripted but perhaps there needed to be piecing together of the whole story so there were more connections and interactions. . The theme of love was obviously aimed for but it needed to tug the audience's heartstrings more in order to achieve that outcome. Were the actors given enough to work with? Maybe not! Some more surprises and intersecting of the characters may have helped. It is not a bad movie just disappointing when so many stars were in the movie but it failed to shine. Maybe look at the recipe used by the Brits!
This film has zero plot, and tons of celebrity cameos than aren't even listed on the IMDb cast page. There are so, so many characters all with their own subplot, and not one of them stands out as the main one. I was confused pretty early as there were so many plots, had no idea what any of the characters names were and it was more fun watching it playing six degrees of Kevin Bacon since this film bought almost all the work down to one degree. What made it funnier was when yet another celebrity face appears half way through the film that you weren't even expecting. Its like - thats the girl from that show. Whats her name now? Wait a minute, ill look it up on the IMDb. Which is how I got to writing this review while the film is still playing...
To start the new year watching this was rather cliché yes, I will admit, but I thought that I would give it a try.Mega-huge cast, lots of little stories. Hated much of it but liked some. Totally cheesy at times, sappy and lame, but a little touching, too.Overall it felt too disjointed. I do not like movies like this. The Bueller cameo was definitely the best!I know, this is a terrible review but I it's from January 1, 2013 and I just don't remember that much about the movie. See... I don't remember that much so what does that mean? It means this is a rather forgettable experience and it's one that I will happily never revisit ever again!---The Kat Pirate Screener. Arrgh!
