Weirdsville (2007)

Admirable film.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

One of my favorite films is "Trainspotting" so of course I thought I'd like this film as well. There are some "Trainspotting" elements, like similarity between characters Spud and Royce, throughout the film and a couple of funny scenes but while I was watching it I kept waiting for it to end as soon as possible. Lead actress is talking funny, I don't recall her talking like that in "Sons of Anarchy" but maybe her role requires her to talk like that since she's an addict. Also, I recently watched "Felicity" and I have to say that Scott Speedman is almost the same in both roles as Ben and Dexter which in my opinion isn't good since those are two very different roles. Overall experience of this film wasn't good.

I watched this a couple weeks ago with one of my best friends who shall remain nameless...(caugh,caugh) Ronnie. i was all depresed 'cause my supposed best friend had slept with my ex-girlfriend and lied to me about it.SoRonnie was getting me drunk on straight vodka and we decided to put in "Weirdsville" and holy Sh*t I gotta say this is one of the coolest damn movies ever! I mean Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley and Taryn Manning are a perfect trio! And the mix of horror and comedy has bred a new genre of cinema! Now, you old school, Harvard educated movie critics out there are probably saying that this is just another piece of crap for Gen-Xers but it isn't! Sure, it may be a little sach-religious, I don't know but what I do know is that everyone who has ever heard of this movie has got to give it a chance. Enjoy.

People are raving how funny this movie is...WOW! They, too, must be on drugs. Wes and Scott must've been high when they accepted to do this film. A waste of two very fine actors! I wanted to like it. It's only ninety minutes long and after the first seventy minutes, I still hadn't cracked a smile. I sat through the final twenty minutes, hoping for a big finish...but that petered out as well. If you want to rent a good comedy, rent one WITH 'Weirdsville' because you won't laugh at this one. I'd really have to look long and hard to find a movie I've enjoyed less. People who found this hilarious are gonna die laughing when they see 'Atonement'.

This movie was not at all what I expected. When I sat down to watch it I wasn't sure what I was in for. But I was pleasantly surprised to end up really enjoying it. I've not seen a movie quite like it to date. The acting was perfect. Not over done, I hate it when actors over act, it's just not believable.I also thought the scenes were just cool to look at. The lighting throughout the movie was very interesting and very appealing to the eye. But let's not forget to mention my favorite part...the Knights!!!! they were excellent!!! And what an interesting twist. Didn't see that one coming. Great job on this movie!
