A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

This is a film in which the language and discussion are often crude, however the dialogue is crisp, authentic and not without philosophical wisdom. The film was made on a very low budget and so the cinematography is not terribly slick. It is a very funny film. Quirky, shocking and hilarious. I particularly like two scenes; the one with the eggs and one with the detective, but there are many many more that are excellent.

Leave the B&W films for the art house mob, it's not clever or artistic it's just trying to be. Nosferatu, The Birds, Psycho, yes it worked because that was all they had to work with. Might be good story, but I'm not wasting my time, or the money spent on HD colour TV to watch anything less than classic if B&W.

Maybe because I am used to Hollywood movies, this movie was really weird for me but I kinda liked it. It gives nice perspective of someone working on a dead-end job, but in order to survive, he thinks of himself of someone special. There is a dialog of Dante with neighboring clerk at the end of the movie, which was really inspiring. There they mention how insignificant anybody actually is but they still believe they are the most unique person ever. I think this is a very common problem and realizing this will benefit everyone. Actors were following the script 100%, this felt really amateur but also kinda cool. Maybe it was intentional. I recommend this especially who are working on a day-to-day job.

I decided to check out Clerks one day and I was not disappointed this movie is simply amazing everything about it is perfect. The characters are funny and memorable and each person is unique in their own way I love the indie style of the film because the budget was $27,575 and they had to use black and white cameras but they did such a good job on using their limited resources and proves that you don't need millions of dollars to create a film, also some scenes can maybe relate to people who have or had worked at a movie or convenience store overall its hands down one of the best films I've ever seen it may be in black and white but it will still make you laugh.
