A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Not sure if this will contain actual spoilers but giving the warning just in case*********may contain spoilers********Really enjoyed this movie. Very entertaining and lighthearted. Actually laughed til I couldn't breath at the "bar scene." I will say that if you have ever lost someone you loved in this manner parts are hard to watch towards the end of the movie which had me in tears having to leave someone like that myself who didn't miraculously recover. Glad that it didn't end badly though, that it was a "happily ever after story." We need more of those. So, 9 thumbs up!

Well, my review title should spoil a lot of what this movie has to offer. The concept is a nice combination of the two classic stories. We have a slightly reversed Ghost story concept where, instead of male unseen ghost of a recently deceased, we have a female communicable spirit of a comatose. The comatose, is at the end an almost exact reproduction of the Sleeping Beauty main concept of struggle and resurrection. The flow is steadily just right, not fast but not too slow. But what surprises me is that the story buildup is so stable that it takes most of the duration of the movie and leaving less room for twists, conflict climax and epilogues. But I think It's a nice entertainment and quite fun to watch indeed. Seeing this movie, I now understand why Mark Ruffalo didn't quite get to his role as Bruce Banner. It looks like he's more comfortable on the drama and romance scene than of action. Reese Witherspoon still got something to offer here although we see her less and less these recent years.

Just Like Heaven is a dream of a romantic comedy. For one, it doesn't have the ever present "lie" which inevitably ruins everything in perpetuity throughout the universe, which is a ridiculous plot scam. You use that when you don't know how to write a script.Next, you have some very funny situations and dialogs. Those might be a bit easy, but they are well used. You also have a few tearful moment that are very sweet. Finally, to make it complete, the acting is pretty good. There are only two bad things I could say about it all. One, you get a perfect ending, but you can excuse it, because you're sort of praying for it, and the rest of the movie wasn't pushing it's luck. Second, the apartment is perfect, and that's always the case in every Hollywood movie. It's great romance with an unusual setting. It even has a few guy-perspective jokes. See it.

Hi, I have never been so hard on a movie but wow, that was really bad.Why ? Simply because I have read the book before watching the movie. (Be careful : the following text contains book spoilers) The scenarists just have changed EVERYTHING compared to the original scenario. The book is awesome and really romantic and cute. They have just taken off all the magic of the book. They have changed the whole background about David (his real name is Arthur), how he's an architect and how he's a business and life partner with his friend Paul (Jack in the movie). They are really really close in the book compared to the movie.Second of all, we don't see Elizabeth's sister in the book but her mother...There is also a really GIANT part of the book that have been cut off, it's when they kidnap Elizabeth... This kidnapping took a big preparation in the book and after the kidnapping they took the body in David/Arthur mother's house.Damn, seriously they just have KILLED the book, I shouldn't have watched that. There's also a sequel for the book and I hope they will not make a movie out of it.TL;DR The movie is really bad compared to the book, if you liked the movie just try the book you will LOVE it.(Sorry about my English, it's not my native language)
