Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This movie did not deviate from the standard clichés for romantic comedies and was quite predictable but as a sample of that genre, it was still quite well done. The chemistry between the characters was palpable and helped to make up for the unoriginal dialogue and plot. Overall, an okay movie to watch and forget

Thoroughly annoying girl child too stupid and vapid to know that she is. Her supposedly gay friend that kisses her like a straight boy is more than just a few neurons short of a full load than she is.And yet, these two Darwin rejects have the temerity to criticize other characters; unfortunately, for being normal human beings, lost on these 2 vacuous between the ears space cadets.People who identify with this show, all I can say is that "misery loves company".This show panders to a gay crowd and falls flat on its heterosexual buttocks.

I went in wanting to assess Matthew Daddario's acting so I had little to no expectations. It's a nice little movie with a good pace, great music and excellent costumes.Victoria's acting did nothing for me. At no point in the movie did I feel her despair, excitement or any other emotion she was apparently experiencing. Pierson was amazing, touching, sensitive and sensible. Sadly, Victoria was giving him so little material to work with, he often came out too strong and overtly emotional. Still, an actor I will watch out for.So I went in for him but he was the biggest disappointment. I found he played his character the same way he plays Alec in Shadowhunters. Huge bummer... While in Shadowhunters it works great with the book character as it brings him a more complete personality - except for the occasional out of character lines - it worked even better here as Gabriel. The two characters are so blurred, now I will see Gabriel every time I watch Alec. That being said, great chemistry between Gabriel and Naomi, Naomi and Ely but nothing between Ely and Bruce 2.Overall, it's an OK movie that 16 years old girls should enjoy. I would recommend it to them.

Sometimes movies come along that make me regret wasting money on them. Occasionally though one comes along that I even regret pirating. This was so bad I want to actually have it eradicated from my brain. I don't have a huge amount of faith in gay movies to start with. Once in a blue moon a good one comes along, but mostly they suffer from terrible production values, nerve-shatteringly bad acting, or terrible dialogue or plot. And then ones comes along that is all that and also adds in being utter puerile drivel as well. Naomi and Ely are 20-something students living in New York. They are so narcissistic and shallow that it was like watching two selfies come to life. I think they are supposed to be hip? Cool? Fabulous? Everything is...girlie...notebooks with scribbles in...hearts they form with their hands...fairy lights strung around the bedroom. Sorry, did I forget to mention that Ely is a GUY! Seriously, why bother putting men into movies at all? He had two moms; why not make him a lesbian as well? The film would have been much the same. If I were a young gay guy thinking about coming out and I saw this movie I'd stay in my very secure closet. In fact, I'd turn it into a panic room with air holes and some very strong locks. Awful, awful, awful.
