A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

A shady businessman attempts to piece together the details of the car crash that killed his wife, rendered him an amnesiac, and left him in possession of a sinister puzzle box that summons monsters. Hellraiser: Hellseeker once again has nothing new to offer except more sadism but also more blood and cruelty plus i did not care for the storyline or any of the characters in general. The ending of course had a twist like any actual human being would expect but also a twist that did not work at all once again because why would it now? right? Garbage fire Seeker!!

If one can overlook two MASSIVE implausiblities, this is the best of the Hellraiser sequels. We are reintroduced to Ashley Laurence as Kirsty, before seemingly killing her in a car crash during the first scene. The focus is then shifted to her husband, and his fragile mental state following the accident, exacerbated by the odd behaviour of some of those around him, and the fact that he becomes the suspect in her death, and the deaths of several others. After tricking us into thinking Ashley Laurence's appearance is confined to a cameo appearance in the first scene, she is reintroduced again in the final third, when we learn it was really her husband who died in the car crash, and the entire film is taking place in his mind, as he lie dying. Pinhead plotted to get Kirsty after all these years, she made a deal with him to kill her husband and the women he was cheating on her with, in exchange for her own life. Kirsty herself killed her husband in the crash, after killing his mistresses, and the entire film is taking place in his mind in the final moments of his life, just like in Jacob's Ladder, again.Indeed, the biggest problem with this one is that it's almost identical to the previous film ( Hellraiser Inferno ) which itself was very similar to Jacob's Ladder. If this film had been made before the previous one, it would have fared better, and been more surprising. But as it is now, it really seems like they used almost the same script. Turning the heroine from parts one and two into the villain here is a daring move, not an easy feat to achieve successfully, but I feel they pulled it off well here. There should have been a final scene with Pinhead, perhaps proud of himself for tricking Kirsty into killing several people, thus ensuring her a place in his hell upon her ultimate death, and thus making it only a matter of time before she is his. Terrible colour tinting gives most scenes a deep blue tinge.

A man struggles with memories of infidelity and deception. Though this rendition follows the general theme of other Hellraiser movies the plot has a twist, perhaps too many twists for one movie. I'm okay with a little character development but there has to be character first. Though the first half of the film dives into the backstory of the main character it is a torturous and futile task for the viewer to relate to or care about this person. Dean Winters apparently can't even relate to the main character enough to make him at least slightly convincing. An emotionless and absent performance. Bringing back actor Ashley Laurence can't even save this movie. Despite her timeless beauty she's never been a spectacular actress though she still outperforms Dean Winters. Some of the computer generated graphics in this film are horrendous and had they used much more of it this movie would have ended up looking more like a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" style, cartoon live action hybrid. They were smart to keep the CGI scenes to a minimum and should have cut them all together. Doug Bradley's parts in this movie are sparse and forgettable though they are the most interesting moments in this film. None the less, I give this movie 5 bags of popcorn. For a truly authentic experience I recommend watching this movie next to a mannequin as it will likely feel just like sitting next to Dean Winters.

I really don't understand why some critics are claiming this is one of the better sequels in this franchise. This is the most boring and least interesting entry in my opinion. With every sequel it seems to go away from being a actual "Hellraiser" movie. The constant hallucinations is overdone and the unfaithful husband deal was already done in the 5th installment. I just couldn't really comprehend the direction of this movie and not in a good way either. It basically seemed like a horror tale from "Tales from the Crypt" or one of those "8 Films to Die For". Sure, the movie is about facing your demons and such, but it has been done before and better in the previous installments. This movie just didn't have much going on, so it just has bunch of hallucinations thrown in it with Pinhead basically just showing up at the very end mostly. If certain "Hellraiser" elements weren't in this movie, this movie by itself would be crap. I personally think it's because I saw the other "Hellraiser" movies that I am being lenient with this one. Because by itself, this movie is just garbage. I thought this would be a decent installment since Ashley Laurence is making a return in this as Kirsty Cotton Gooden who was in the first 2 "Hellraiser" movies. I don't know why she even bothered to be in this one besides for the paycheck. She is almost non-existent in this flick and I thought it would be Kirsty facing her demons one more time. The focus is far away from Pinhead and the cenobites as a matter of fact, it just seems like they are just something just tagged onto this flick. At least the 5th installment had psychedelic visuals. This movie sucks and it sucks even more that Kirsty is wasted in this. I give this a 2.3, because the ending is cool I guess.2.3/10
