This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

On the paper, the movie is interesting because the story challenges more than the usual American relationship movies. It puts out of the closet the small cheating, lies of married people and their psychological effects. At first, i thought the movie was a remake because it's too serious. To label this movie a comedy would be so a total error! The cast is rather good with a great Wynona. However, the final result is totally disappointing : the movie can't tell the story, it loses itself in useless subplots (their car design job, the hockey game), a lot of scenes drag and bring nothing ! As a recent movie, the blue / orange production is simply awful and Chicago has never been so ugly in a movie ! And the final back-stab would be the strange morale of the movie : Buddy friendship seems more important than relationships and snitching is compulsory !

My husband and I watched this movie with no high expectations and really enjoyed it. It reminded me of a Woody Allen movie, but not as intense. It was comical: There were times when I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hear myself (you know those times). The comedic nuances are what make this script so good. It was dramatic: The issues highlighted are what we all face every day and Ron Howard was excellent in his ability to bring out the actors' strengths in these areas. The script zig-zagged between funny, sad, emotional, funny haha, somber, touching and poignant.I imagine if I had paid big bucks to see this in a theater, I would have been a bit disappointed - and the reason for that is, it's not a fast-paced movie, nor does it have any amazing special effects; nor were people being eaten by zombies or blown away by high-powered rifles. But watching it at home, on a rainy day, with plenty of time to appreciate the subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle humor, as well as the drama, made viewing this movie an enjoyable treat. All the main actors, Jennifer Connelly, Queen Latifah, Kevin James and Channing Tatum were excellent. Vince Vaughn was outstanding - he showed how gifted he is as an actor in this role.Expertly directed by Ron Howard. Not sure if this is a spoiler, but since we own a 2010 Orange Dodge Challenger 6.1 liter w/Hemi (530 hp - modified of course), the classic Dodge Challenger Vince Vaughn's character drove throughout the movie, as well as that "Dodge" was included in the storyline peripherally, was nice.

THE DILEMMAThis is a good comedy.I went to the cinema with my girlfriend to watch this a long time ago. We watched it again last night and still thought it was good. The movie is about 2 guys, Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, who are best friends and business partners. They are just trying to land a big contract with the car company, Dodge. Vince catches Kevin's wife fooling around with another man, but he doesn't know if he should tell him or not because he doesn't want to hurt his friend and also let it distract him from the job at hand. Vince then confronts Kevin's wife about it and she bribes him to not say anything. The rest of the movie is about Vince trying to catch her out with funny consequences. The casting is good for this film. I am not a huge Vince Vaughn fan, but I don't mind him. He has made some good films in the past. He does a good job in this film. Kevin James is a funny man, he makes me laugh. I liked him in King of Queens. Vince's girlfriend is played by Jennifer Connelly and Kevin's wife is played by Winona Ryder. My favourite character in the movie is a guy named Zip, played by Channing Tatum. He is so funny in this movie. The story is good, the acting is good and it is directed by Ron Howard who is a legend.I will give this film 7 out of 10.A good comedy with not too much of the romance. No having seen a trailer for this, I could only go with the stars as to what kind of movie this was. Given the two leads, this seemed to me like it would be a comedy. Sure, Vince Vaughn has done some dramatic roles, but to me he is a comedic actor first, and Kevin James is strictly comedic. After this movie ended, I was confused; was this supposed to be a comedy or a drama? If it was supposed to be a comedy, then it wasn't very funny, and if it was a drama, then it was rather light. Further muddying the waters was Channing Tatum's character, whose personality seems to change with each line; in one he is a violent lunatic, the next he is a touchy-feely type. All in all, this was 110 minutes of wasted time, except for the scenes at Blackhawks games (I'm a fan).
