This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

...Italians can do pizza, French can do wine and American can do movies.French movies can be outstanding, but this is not one of them. Intouchables (2011) was delightful and deeply French: I cannot imagine US fim makers producing a movie like that. This mistery movie is dated, to say the least. Huge use of flashbacks, culprit who in the last two minutes explains everything to the public. All of this is obsolete way of film making, at least 50 years old. Mistery movies nowadays are way different and smarter. In this movie I lost my interest after ten minutes. The only reason I kept going was my wife, who anyway lost its interest in the middle of the movie. We were waiting for some interesting twist because of IMDb high rating, but it didn't happen. The movie is boring, shallow and useless. I gave 5/10 because of decent acting and cinematography, but as regards the plot it is 1/10

'Tell No One' is a fine example of exactly how a mystery thriller should be done. This is a very well-written and acted film with a compelling and intelligent story. It does a particularly good job and building and maintaining tension, moving at a steady pace and with the plot developments timed for maximum effect.Despite the relatively long running length for a thriller, 'Tell No One' never goes through any dull patches. There are plenty of twists and, like with other strong thrillers, the film goes in a totally different direction to what anybody would have expected. Any flaws are minor and have no impact on the storyline. All in all, 'Tell No One' is a very well-made, compelling mystery thriller.

Just an outstanding thriller. I don't want to say too much and give anything away, but don't let the fact that this movie uses subtitles deter you from watching it. It is compelling from beginning to end and has no significant flaws. This is the strongest mystery/thriller I have seen in a long time. Every aspect of this film from the acting to the cinematography is top notch, and, despite a playing time of more than 2 hours, it never drags, not even a little bit. Everybody I watched it with was totally alert throughout the entire movie and left guessing until the finish. There are no significant holes in the plot that I noticed, and at the end everything comes together perfectly. It's hard to understand why Hollywood can't produce a movie like this. If you this sort of movie is your cup of tea, I would find it hard to imagine that you would regret watching this one, regardless of it being French and subtitled in English.

The movie starts looking like a family movie. It builds up the story the way a distinct mystery movie would do. Settling the main conflict in, the movie looks very thriller-like. And the finale feels so dramatic with great revelations and plot twists. The epilogue feels like a happy ending that doesn't really radiate a happy feeling. There are various story elements mixed up in smaller doses in this movie. They range from street gangs, a hit squad of professional criminals, mysterious contacts, a pretty crazy stunt on a freeway like a great thriller movie would have, police investigations, framing a crime, planted evidence, and even lawyers bargaining. It's well done in this movie because they can be found in France, and thus logically possible to happen and entangle. The acting is decently nice. As the lead role, Francois Cluzet okay in portraying the various scenes of crime, thriller, mystery, drama and romance. Francois Berleand is very much at home with another cop role. Kristin Scott-Thomas is a nice sight since I last saw her in The English Patient.
