The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

What a surprise gem this turned out to be! It's very rare for every aspect of a movie to happen exactly the way I want it to - there are usually things I wish they'd done differently - but with this one I wouldn't change a thing. It left me feeling utterly satisfied, happy, and somewhat in love with the two lead actors! The whole film hinges on the exquisite chemistry between the two main characters, who don't share any screen time until the final few minutes. And they pull it off beautifully. It is one of the most romantic films I've seen, yet manages to avoid any schmaltz or sentimentality. It's just honest, natural, and tender - quite an achievement considering that the engine driving the narrative is basically supernatural phenomena! I stumbled across this movie quite by accident, and I'm very glad I did.

I absolutely loved this movie.... the premise is unique, the acting and chemistry between the main characters is amazing, and the directing / music / editing contributed to an experience which turned me into emotional mush. This movie would have been a 10 out of 10 for me, except for the last half hour where the plot ran away into silly land. This is a movie I will happily watch again and again.

Dylan Kershaw (Michael Stahl-David) lives in a rundown trailer in New Mexico after serving time for robbery and works in a car wash. Rebecca Porter (Zoe Kazan) is well-off, married to doctor Phillip Porter (Mark Feuerstein). Dylan and Rebecca first experienced the other's thoughts when Rebecca hit a tree during a childhood sledding accident. Their connections get clearer and they actually talk to each other. This is a light supernatural romance. It's a fun imaginative take from writer Joss Whedon. The leads' chemistry is quite good despite being physically apart. Zoe Kazan is a sweet compelling actress. The slapping scene is hilarious. The movie doesn't take an obvious step. The characters would obviously want to meet in person or even FaceTime. There is one way that the story could keep them apart. It's an obvious step not taken. It seems like Whedon spent his time more with the songs for the movie. It keeps the tension at low boil and the ending seems rushed.

okay so besides this movie being UNBEARABLY uncomfortable the ending is stupid. so what are they just going to ride that train and then what? because well one of you escaped from a mental hospital, which by the way you are an adult and they cant really hold you there against your will you could have probably figured your way out of it some how but you are a cliché helpless girl. second of all the other one IS A CONVICTED FELON WHO IS ON THE RUN. what are you going to do for money, where are you going to live, WHAT R U GOING TO DO. i would have been like three million times happy if they ended the movie on like i do not know a non criminal note. plus they are that chick is stupid she just kept talking to him in public looking like an insane person. you could have gotten a little creative and i don't know pretended you were on the phone. i am just highly dissatisfied with this uncomfortable movie. i also do not understand how the rating is higher than a 4.
