With 10/10 acting and top notch high budget fake blood, this movie should be the example for all shark attack movies. The amazing shark attack scenes just blew me away. It was so phenomenal that I had to look away and bury my head in my knees because of how amazingly realistic the sharktopus' CGI was.

I purchased this little nugget in a four-pack of DVDs that also contained cinematic treats such as "Dinoshark" and "MegaPython vs. Gatoroid". I suppose there was no way i could ask for a refund afterwards, as it can't be said that i didn't know what i was getting myself into. Not that id've ever entertained such a notion: for these films are the stuff of a madman's dreams - the kind of thing you and your friends would make up when drunk, and never think someone would actually make. The man forever to be known as "T.V.'s Eric Roberts" (or, in our house, "The Master from the rubbish version of Doctor Who") stars - or at least turned up for the afternoon to film his scenes, possibly for the Scotch he gets to neck on the boat rather than actual wages - as Nathan Sands, mad scientist creating a deadly hybrid monster for a shady government defence project. Will these people never learn? Along for the ride are Sands' hot daughter (Sara Malakul Lane), an ex-marine shark hunter played by possible the most annoying actor ever to walk the face of the earth (Kerem Bursin), a hot in a sleazy kind of way female reporter who looks like she'd be filthy in the sack (Liv Boughn), and comedy drunk fisherman / eyewitness Pez (Blake Lindsay) - who almost salvages this by being pretty funny. Not to be approached when sober!!

Dear People that made Sharktopus ,We think that you paid 10 dollars on the whole movie. Next movie put at least 30 dollars. This movie needs a lot of work, more drama and make more things look real .Everything looks fake , and if you remake this movie don't make so many girls die and don't make Santos die. I think when the actors read this they thought it was cool. But when they were acting, in it in their heads they probably thought why are we doing this this is so stupid. My thought was every 10 minutes in the beginning someone dies in the middle every 5 minutes someone dies then in the end every 3 minutes someone dies.Nathenal gets cut in the leg but someone else gets cut too and dies while he doesn't?! Sincerely, Alexis,Jocelyn, and Sophia

Roger Corman knows how to entertain, and his signature style is evident in this movie as well.S-11 the experimental biological weapon based on shark and octopus gene escapes, and causes terror on the beaches of California, and Mexico. This is one of the best Roger Corman science fiction thriller I've seen. Unlike many movies of this type where you hardly see the monster, this movie has the mutated shark all over the place. There are plenty of skin to entertain as well. Both good looking men and women parades their body in and out of the water. Roger Corman never seem to be interested in making artsy movies, but this movie if not artistic is skillfully done with actions at right places, and characters that keeps the story interesting. This movie is definitely not a bore, and is one of the best movie of this type produced.
