I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

The first 45 minutes is a bit boring, but at least the movie got better after that. There was a lack of humour, enjoyment value, and character development for the drama there to be enjoyable. After the uninteresting part, we get treated to action. It's fast-paced and fun but forgettable. There are some mildly amusing jokes and funny action parts here, but nothing too memorable. The first 45 minutes are almost a waste of time, but after that, it's action that is enjoyable. When compared to Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Knight & Day, the movie contains less action (the action is slightly less enjoyable and more forgettable) and more drama (which is less interesting when compared to the other movies mentioned).+ Some interesting actionDraggy first 45 minutesNothing that funny at all

Have said this before but it is worth repeating. You can opt to review a film when it comes out. Everything is fresh and new. The film has to compete not with posterity, not with the future, but simply with the other films of its release date.Or, to make things more complex, you can let a few years go by and check out the film a few times in the interim. Here the film is the same but the goalposts change. The film may or may not get better each time you see it. It is no longer competing with the films of its year but rather with all films of all years.I chose to use the second method to review Killers and frankly that makes all the difference. The two stars were at their peak. Neither one is actively playing leads in romcoms at this time. But they looked gorgeous. The story is cute, the script is cute, the locations are to die for and the direction is friendly. The film holds up remarkably well and my guess is it will continue to do so for years to come.

The Killers (2010): Dir: Robert Luketic / Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Tom Selleck, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Mull: Mindless torture comedy with a title that refers not just to the married couple, but also to every single nitwit they cross paths with. Katherine Heigl plays a newly single woman on vacation with her parents. She meets handsome stranger Ashton Kutcher whom she immediately hooks up with then director Robert Luketic bolts us quickly into three years of marriage. Suddenly Heigl learns that her true blue husband is a spy when neighbors, friends, the postman, co-workers, the kitchen sink, etc, tries to kill them. Luketic previously made the underrated comedy Win a Date With Tad Hamilton, and also directed Heigl in the smash hit The Ugly Truth. Here he is all over the place and nothing makes sense. Kutcher seems too young to play this spy whose past catches up with him. Heigl says the wrong things and her little truce circle is completely ludicrous. She learns that she is pregnant right around the time Kutcher discovers that his boss is dead. Tom Selleck and Catherine O'Hara share in the shame as Heigl's parents whom she is constantly relying on. The twist regarding Selleck isn't much of a surprise, and O'Hara's reaction will be ours if alcohol is handy concluding this film. Martin Mull is a waste as Kutcher's boss but one can be sure that this is not how he wants to conclude his career. The action is well done but hardly makes up for the constant irritation of double crosses. It could have been a satire about marriage but instead it is a film fit for knife throwing practice. Score: 2 / 10

because Ashton Kutcher is driving around Nice in a hot, red sports car that is super cool. And a few minutes later he's shirtless for a few seconds. Whom knew he'd turned from flab to fab, he's pretty hot, but too bad his acting is the pitts. I like Katherine Heigl even though she plays the same character all the time. She's OK in this; however, the main problem was the script. This type of movie has been made so many times already. It's basically one of those movies where the spouse finds out her or his partner is leading a double life, and now assassins want them dead. So, you get some unbelievable stunts and in this case, weak humor thrown in.FINAL VERDICT: Earlier movies do it better, stay away from this.
