a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

Oh, wait, I forgot, it's The CW now! This thing is anything but scary, just more teenage angst, high school girl backstabbing, gossiping...and I couldn't even figure out what kind of monster Molly was supposed to be. And every time she attacks or kills someone in the movie, she feels regret...after she's been attacked by those people! Hello?!? Why should she have to say I'm sorry after being picked on and defending herself? Danny Marianino of North Side Kings still to the day hasn't apologized for kicking Glenn Danzig's ass, nor should he have to after Danzig attacked him first! So why does Molly? Seriously, with Chase Crawford and that blonde chick from Hellcats(I think that's her, not sure, but it looks like her), it was like the CW trying to be scary. Oh, wait! The CW actually DOES have a scary show--SUPERNATURAL! Sadly, this movie was more new 90210 and Gossip Girl than Supernatural. Nothing scary about this at all--except what a letdown it was.

I have tried to watch this flick four times and just keep losing interest. The lead character is completely unsympathetic. The script is too cryptic for its own good. And it is slow, slow, SLOW! At least Chase Crawford is enjoyable eye candy. Otherwise I would make a coaster out of this DVD. (I just tried submitting this review to IMDb and it was rejected since I didn't write 10 lines of text. So I'm adding junk. -- Junk, junk, junk, junk, junk -- just like the aforementioned movie. Looks like I still need three more lines. Hey, IMDb, sometimes brief reviews are quite adequate. Guess more text gives your site a more substantial appearance. Two more lines to go. My fingers are getting tired. Did I mention this movie sucks? Only one more line of text required. Yay! I made it! I hope you all had as much fun reading as I had typing. Let's do it again real soon!)

without a doubt the worst movie i have ever watched, i've been up at 4 in the morning with a netflix account so I have seen some bad movies. i actually signed up for an account just so i could warn the rest of humanity of the teenage drama fest that they tried to pass off as horror. normally i hate when b-rate horror movies resort to nudity and sex to make up for lack of plot, shotty acting, no budget, no original scary content, competent writers, and so on but geez half way through the movie i was begging for something to liven up this crappy twilight knock off. it boggles the mind how they ever made it to production without someone raising a single question as to what the heck is actually happening in the end of this movie. basically they took 5 minutes of a hot girl walking through the woods then dubbed in 2 hours worth of icarly or some other terrible preteen show tack on 5 minutes of twilight then wrap it all up with the ending from legally blonde. i have saved you 2 hours of your life

(Please note, this review was based off a viewing years ago, however the experience has left scars burned into my mind like a chemical burn, I want to share my pain with you.) the beginning sets up what feels to be some rather solid suspense- a father tries to (successfully and very unwillingly) murder his daughter. i found it quite unnerving, why would something like this happen for what reasons? not bad but still lacking something. However the rest of the film fails to deliver the suspense that builds up in the first 10 minutes or so, as not only does the film force feed the viewer pretentious religious themes, all the so-called scares are cheap shocks, no foreboding, no sense of lingering paranoia, none. drama? yes plenty. Horror? no, just scares, cheap scares.Horror in essence is the fear coming off of the experience of something, this was not a horrifying movie, it was bland, cheap and pretentious. The essence of the cheapness and pretentiousness really shows itself in the film's climax- Molly was resurrected by a servant of the devil, and thus owes the devil her soul on her 18th birthday. (I'm pretty sure it was her 18th birthday, 6+6+6 = 18), She tries to do what her mother failed to do earlier in the movie- kill herself. She fails, her father is sent to a psych ward and molly "accepts herself for her destiny" or whatever she said before the "Ironic happy ending", which insultingly looked more like it was for a cheap Disney channel teen movie rather than a horror film, given the production of the movie, honestly I'm not surprised. The movie fits Merriam-Webster's definitions of Haunting: To visit often, to continually seek the company of, to have a disquieting or harmful effect on. I can't help but look for the silver lining that the title certainly lives up to it's name on a technical level. However in the spirit of horror movies, it takes a variety orifices encrusted in toxic fecal matter, and throws bleach all over it, making the bloody mess looking and smelling worse than it already is.I sincerely apologize for the mental image i just gave you, but i really cannot otherwise summarize what this movie does to the horror genre.
