It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

I ran across Elena Undone when I was going through a dark time in my life. The intensity of this movie held me from the very beginning to the very end. The love in this movie wowed me into giving life another chance, be- cause I want to experience the very love that these two women have. The movie is emotional, intense, heart gripping, deep, and absolutely lovely in all ways possible. Traci Dinwiddie has become a role model for me, because she lives through the character and you can see her heart. She is not only a great actress, but she has a gift of expression that leaves you wanting more or hoping that it will never end. If you have not seen this movie, please do! You will not be disappointed! For those of us who have seen it, it is a love that the soul thirsts for and brings about hope in our very beings.

I have not had a movie touch me like this one in a very long time. This is not only my new favorite lesbian movie, it is one of my new favorite movies ever. I go thru long periods of not watching gay films because of they tend to just be really bad and disappointing. Of course i have my favorites, who doesn't? This movie on the other hand, absolutely blew me away. I read another review that mentions Tyler as being campy and a bit silly, but he is one of the best parts of this movie. I thought it was a very clever way to remind the audience that love can come from where you least expect it. This movie made me smile, and cry, then smile, then cry again at the end, then laugh at myself for being such a hopeless romantic. Im glad that the husband wasn't portrayed as "evil" or anything like that. He was just a guy who loved a woman who didn't love him back. It does make you feel a little bad for him, esp me who went thru what Nash went thru with my mom, minus the lesbian part, lol. SPOILER:But not bad enough to not be ecstatic about who ends up with who.And omg, the best first kiss on screen. EVER.

It was interesting watching Elena Undone for the first time, as it's a favorite of many of my friends, and my expectations were high. At first, the movie feels a bit piecemeal, like a collage of the characters background intermixed with an essay on soul mates. But as the narrative emerges, the gorgeous Necar Zadegan and stunning Tracey Dinwiddle's stellar performances seduce the audience as they seduce each other. The chemistry between the women is simply electric. Conn delivers a depth of relationship not commonly portrayed on the screen. As Elena's doomed life spirals further into chaos, it's unclear whether she'll have the courage to break her sense of duty to grab hold of a once in a lifetime opportunity for happiness.Time will prove that Elena Undone is one of the great lesbian romances of all time.Q.C. This movie has an intriguing plot: married woman meets lesbian and discovers another side of herself.I felt the casting was good. The two female leads were believable enough, and I felt that particularly about the character Peyton and Traci Dinwiddie's portrayal of her.Other than that, I think we just got barely below the surface of things. I could have done without the whole love guru guy and his narration - gave the film a rather after-school-special feel to it. And I thought that having Elena be, not just married, but married to a conservative preacher, was a bit much. Her character just didn't fit that profile at all.My biggest disappointment was probably the lack of torment in Elena's character. She was truly the aggressor in the affair and seemed to not really be bothered much by the fact that she was cheating on her family while limiting her commitment to Peyton. In the scene just after the "longest on screen kiss", Elena is walking away, all a-flutter, and actually looking rather proud of herself. It came off as quite selfish as I think a truly compassionate woman would have strong conflicting emotions in such a situation, not a mischievous grin. As Peyton points out later in the midst of things, Elena just wants to "have her cake and eat it too".In fact, had Elena's son not discovered the affair, it seems that Elena would be content enough to continue to see Peyton on the side while remaining a cold fish to her frustrated husband.Contrastingly, Peyton is rather tormented. She fights her feelings for Elena, not just because Elena is supposedly straight, but also because she is married. After they do cross the line, she continues to struggle internally. So, in the end, not bad, but definitely could have been better.
