I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

I have to admit that I approached the time travel movie "Slipstream" with some hesitation when I saw that Louis Morneau was involved with the writing of the story. That's because years earlier, Morneau directed the time travel movie "Retroactive", which was next to incomprehensible. Happily, "Slipstream" proved to be a much better movie. The time travelling and the problems that it raises actually makes sense this time around, and it's easy to know what's going on. Also, the story plays out well, keeping up the viewer's interest and never getting boring. Though made on a low budget, there are some striking images and some good effects, though it's painfully obvious that this set-in-the-U.S. movie was shot in another country (South Africa, according to the closing credits.) Other problems include an obnoxious lead performance by Sean Astin, and a number of directorial touches that are way too flashy and pretentious. But if you're patient and can sit through rough patches such as those, you'll probably find this movie passable entertainment.

There's nothing more to say about this movie than the title of my review.I don't know how could have come in my mind to buy that DVD...After 15-20' it was clear it was a copy of that (fantastic!) X-Files episode (Monday - season 6 episode 14), and I'm surprised to read that no one of the other reviews has reported this...I was going to stop the DVD after 20-25'... Then I wanted to watch all the movie to see if there was something better...Useless to say, there wasn't...Don't watch it... In case watch the original one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0751163/Just to say, the movie begins after a long, boring and senseless opening title I personally jumped...

there are bad movies. slipstream happens to be a real bad one. the idea itself is cool. but that's it. really. bad script. bat acting. stupid characters. plot holes.come on, the bank-robbers in the bus start to sing? i just don't believe this is real. i feel i've just lost another 80 minutes precious time.the explanation, which characters can travel back in time, and what will remain the same (clothes, money, but not the bullets) is a joke. probably the best part is, when the time-travel-ipod-like-gadget gets hooked on via USB to a laptop, because it's screen broke. you can probably think, that this movie is a spoof of its own. avoid this one.go and watch "the butterfly effect".
