A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

In this fictional semi-parodic comedy intended for the youth, we follow the life of United States President's daughter, who is having hard time trying to lead the life of a normal girl of her age, while dealing with paparazzi, security surveillance, and electoral needs of her dad. This does not deliver a reflection on the antinomic nexus between private freedom and public popularity, since «Una teenager alla Casa Bianca» is in fact a long instalment of a TV series such as Dawson's Creek stretched into the film format. Katie Holmes is a stunning beauty, who gained popularity through Dawson's Creek (and, at later time, marriage with Tom Cruise), but this is quite separate a matter with being able to perform in real films, which is not the case for her nor for the couple of TV-series kind of performers she's been paired with this time — her foreseeably beautiful college friend (Ameriie) and predictably handsome wanna-be boyfriend (Marc Blucas), who'd instantly appear ludicrous if weighed as actual film actors.Aside from the absolute inability to express whatever emotion of the entire cast (except for a wasted Keaton, however made impotent by non-existent screenplay), there is nothing specially despicable if taken for what it is and not for a film, and I advise Dawson's Creek or generic teenage TV series fans to watch this one: it's a long, entertaining episode.

Samantha Mackenzie (Katie Holmes) has always been a sweet proper girl and the only daughter of the President (Michael Keaton). She is going off to college and the strict Secret Service protection doesn't always fit. She falls for student James Lansome (Marc Blucas). However the president is in his re-election campaign and James isn't who she thinks he is.It's always odd to note that this was directed by Forest Whitaker, but he seems to like these light rom-coms. And this is the lightest of rom-com especially in the first half. Katie Holmes is playing a stiff character and isn't allowing the comedy to come through. The movie does improve slightly with the twist for about 15 minutes, but then it falls apart with a flat unimpressive ending.

...but I *love* this movie. It makes me happy. So maybe it's a little too saccharine-y, but with all the craziness/sadness/horrible-ness in the world today, I'll take all the sugar (substitutes) I can get. I can even get past the 'What the...?' scene in the boat because I liked the movie so much.I see it as a fairy tale. Cinderella, but with a twist. SPOILER ALERTI even like the way it ended -- despite my being a happily-into-the-sunset kind of person. In fact, I like that it wasn't quite so pat, but instead gave the girl the cake AND the chance to eat it too. On her terms. And the dance at the end makes me swoon.

I know this is the chick flick but I didn't expect it to be this cheesy and corny like this. Staring Katie Holmes as the first daughter struggle to live her life as she joint university.I know I shouldn't be too critical on these types of movie but to relax and enjoy it but the flaw is too big to do that. The movie started of and ends with one of the lousiest narrating ever. They tried to make it a fairytale movie, which it is not. The writers absolutely have no idea of first daughter, white house, and not even college life, which is sad. Plus the story is too predictable that in just five minute into the movie you'll see how it goes about to the end.The acting is over done to the point that it looks absolutely weird, I think the character is too graceful to be true. The casting of Michael Keaton is a miscast. There are no connections between any of the characters in the film at all especially with the daughter and mother, and also between her and her friend.Final Words: Still too corny for a chick flick.Reason To Watch: Seeing Is Believing of How Corny This Film Is.Reason Not To: Wayyyyy To Cheesy and Predictable.Rating: 4.5/10 (Grade: F).Rate Y/N After Read, Thanks
