Absolutely Fantastic

Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

If we start with what's good in the movie, then it's:The music made by Laibach is very good, far too good for this movie. And when Laibach is serious in their music creation, the movie is not.The animations / special effects are also quite fine for a low budget movie.The script supervisor and costume maker has done a decent job, so even the movie photographer.So why will it just be a 2?Well because the script sucks and the acting is awful. The actors have no timing at all, which makes the already bad joke in the film even worse. The script is purely bad. If you can not write a good script, it's better to do it as simple as possible, do not try as they do in this movie to do something that they do not master. As a parable: Rather play a punk song well. than trying to make a piece of Morzart and playing wrong all the time.The link to Nazism is very weak, they sometimes appear to be sympathetic in this movie (which feels a bit awkward).The director has definitely not done his job well.

this is a very weird movie. the basic premise is that Nazis have a base on the moon and want to invade earth, that itself sounds crazy. and that's what this movie is: it's crazy but kind of fun. i'd say the first act up to the beginning of the second act weren't very fun and a little boring maybe. but then then movie went crazy in the end of the second act until the third act, and it was getting crazier until a point when it became kind of sad. final sentence: 7-7.5/10 it's fine but you may not like it

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this film as much as I did, it was smarter than I anticipated, not with what they put in but what they left out: over-elaborate explanations of anything.A great advertisement for different countries collaborating on a film, it lacked propaganda and political correctness that seems to poison most Hollywood films these days, especially ones with subject matter like this movie.It lacked a little polish, obviously from budget restraints, but it was executed perfectly!I'm looking forward to the sequel in 2017. I'm amazed I hadn't even heard of this movie until the weekend just gone, 4 years after release. Ironically I heard about it from a friend who downloaded it illegally, which I also did, but I will purchase a legitimate copy on Bluray ASAP!

Although Germans are not used to jokes about Nazis I love this movie and I am German. Iron Sky is set in 2018 and begins on the moon. Two American astronauts are one-small-stepping when they happen across a concealed lunar city in the shape of a swastika. It's a secret Nazi base! On the moon! Full of Nazis! This is a future in which the Nazis, after losing the second world war, escaped to the moon, whence they are now returning in flying saucers to conquer Earth. The movie is full of details, jokes and well played characters. Director Timo Vuorensola really did a great job! Iron Sky is a movie made with love and passion. In my opinion this is one of the best and funniest movies ever made. The story is great. The set is awesome. The actors are well chosen and do a great job. The special effects are amazing. If you haven't seen this movie yet you should. I bought it on Bluray directly when it was available and I am looking forward to watch/buy Iron Sky: The Coming Race soon.
