Touched with Fire (2016)

Good story, Not enough for a whole film

Absolutely the worst movie.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

The acting in this movie is really good.

First of all we didn't get to see as many movies with bipolar disorder lead characters and sticking with it throughout the movie. This is the only movie i have seen that speaks about bipolar disorder. I read the movie was based on the director's experience with the disorder hence i think the movie came out really authentic It is a movie about two poets (how often u get that) whose creativity is fueled by their bipolar disorder (they believe so). They also at one point in the movie believes they are not from this planet , just like your are thinking they became extreme maniacs as long as they stay and feed off each other ideas. But to make a child and a family you have to be in the system and play within its rules. I concur with one of the review you can take away something from the movie only if you have bipolar disorder or if you any idea about the disorder. Because i didn't speak anything from our perspective (non-bipolar) rather than theirs(bipolar). the acting and the different acts and music are the beautiful tools that anyone could easily connect with this movie

Ugh. Good actors. Great idea to really put the viewer into the manic emotions that the characters are experiencing. Something never quite clicked. I enjoyed the backstory involving Van Gogh's Starry Night - but that was about it. At the end I'm still confused - did the movie start at the end? So many questions. I think though, that may have been part of the point to confuse...

Two bipolar patients meet in a psychiatric hospital and begin a romance that brings out all of the beauty and horror of their condition. Although the acting is fine and sure it tries to tell a story of it's own unfortunately the pacing of the film is terrible and it's something that we have seen multiple times threw out the years with 2 patients falling in love, dying or even getting better in the process there are hundred of better films out there with the same plot with better acting, actors, story and direction too bad that this isn't one of them tho. I'll Touched with Fire a solid 5 out of 10 and it's really sad that Katie Holmes didn't do anything great after Batman Begins she isn't as bad as some people make her sound she's actually an alright actress.

Touched With Fire, definitely not an easy watch at times, tells the story of two young poets falling in love while battling bipolar disorder. The cinematography can only be described as breathtaking, and the same could be said about the soundtrack. This film was truly a joy for the eyes and the ears. Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby were fantastic as the two patients, poets, lovers. The only thing that felt a bit off was the story - it felt slightly confusing at times, maybe moving a little fast?It might have felt like something was missing from the story, but the honesty and realness made up for it. Definitely worth the watch - while being a visual treat, Touched With Fire also opened my eyes to completely new aspects of mental illness.
