Highly Overrated But Still Good

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

I had to give it a 5 out of 10 because it is the best hand-held video-cam movie I've seen yet. The characters seem real, and likable, and the performances are pretty good. This beats the daylights out of Cloverfield and every other "found" video I've seen. There are actually some aliens in this one and the effects are fairly well done. The video quality is also the best I've seen so far. Even though the scenario has been used all too often, this one has, all I've seen so far, beat hands down. Is it a great movie? No. Is it a good one? No. But it is fair. It is entertaining and, if you like the found video types, it is worth a look.

One of the worst movies I've seen in a while.Pathetic acting and pathetic reasoning by the actors due to pathetic writing. Let's hide in another man-made structure because they will never think that we would run from one easily found place to another! Unless of course some douche like Robert Lewis is calling the shots....We can lose them by screaming constantly and waving flashlights around!I cant write anymore, it's just too painful recollecting every single pathetic minute of that terrible movie.Do yourselves a favour people, skip this trash and watch paint dry, it will be more exciting.

This movie was very nicely done!! I was genuinely terrified! OK....so I'm sleeping with the light on tonight but all is good LOL! You know, there's one thing about the common horror movie, but then its another thing when the horror story isn't just fictional or made up but is true or based on true events. THAT is what makes it even more scarier....that something like that could or might actually happen to someone....whether you believe in it or not I know you'd be lying if you said it doesn't scare you if you think about it. When I first started watching this movie I thought oh no not another documentary....but the actors pulled me in from the very beginning all the way to the end, AMAZING ACTORS! Amazing storyline, very exciting, horrifying..... Actually, making it a documentary/found footage was the best way to go.... I would absolutely LOVE to work with the directors and crew someday!!! Checked out the website after I finished watching the movie on Netflix and the website is pretty cool as well..... :) thank you for bringing the brown mountain lights to my interest! I will now continue to research them and ask my family whom lives down south if they've ever heard of them :)

This movie is trying to be a shoot on camera horror thing in which it fails completely, form one end to the other. The story is classic, some guys go to a cabin in the middle of no where to spend some family weekend time. The script is bad to very bad, with illogical and non sense to stupid dialogs. There are no characters, just fourth rate actors who play as bad as their league are in. One of the script character is an autistic kid which seems everything but that. Everyone who read about autism knows that such a person can communicate with exterior being trapped in his own mind. But this kid, oh boy, he talks all the time and seems, by far, the most intelligent from all characters involved in the story. Avoid this garbage at all cost, go do something else worth doing.
