By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Yes, finally a horror flick I can rate more than 4 or 5 at maximum! This is quite a bloody film, lots of violence & terror. The question you have on your mind from the start is exactly WHEN she will be able to turn the tables around and give her tormentor the treatment he so deeply deserves... and precisely WHAT that deserved punishment will be. Of course, comparisons with "I Spit On Your Grave" are inevitable. You won't be disappointed ! Definitely recommended. Note that this is decidedly an over 18 movie. NOT for kids! 8/10.

PROS: The ending was the star part of the movie, although this part was also cliché it was very entertaining. The acting of characters that weren't stars were played phenomenally, and the stars of the movie were played OK. I liked who the characters were. They were very dynamic and genuine. This helped the plot develop nicely, it filled in holes and showed the watcher certain characters intentions which is always helpful.CONS: The one con, and the con was really large was the tense scenes weren't tense, and the build up to the heightened scenes were slow or flat. As I was sitting there I was just hoping that the tension would rise, however it just fell flat. I might not have wrote a lot, but the few sentences I did write explained the issues as clear as they could be.www.chorror.com

Ten minutes into this film and you already know it's garbage. The captive konks her captor out with a brick and escapes. So far so good. She gets outside and notices the house is in some desolate area with no other houses around, just cacti and sagebrush and maybe a lizard or two. So she yells for help anyway. Who's gonna hear that and respond? A coyote? If her captor did get free at least he knows now where she is.Then the most ridiculous thing happens - she goes back into the captor's house and takes a shower! What?! You should be looking for help, not preparing for a beauty shoot! Why clean yourself when the police would need to see the bad shape the captor put you in.I'm also sure no captive would want to go back to face their captor. They'd be too traumatized to even be in the same room with him. The filmmakers needed to show why the woman had no choice but to go back and force her captor to help her. BTW, that neck noose thing she made was brilliant. At least she gets points for that. Not!

Surprised is how i will start this review, as like most of you i saw the trailer and read the plot and straight away it made me think is this another type of "i spit on your grave" film. Well its not and its actually a really good thriller a lot better than i expected, the story of a girl who was taken and kept as a sex slave she manages to escape but not before using her captive to help free other girls. The way the story flicks between then and now shots is well done and cudos to the director who had a plan and stuck to it. Tina Ivlev (eve) is brilliant and take your hat off to veteran actor Richard Tyson which you will reconise from kindergarten cop but for me its gotta be the cult classic "big bad wolf 2006" Bound to vengeance is a delightful horror/thriller film in a decade that is currently struggling with the horror/thriller genre and well worth a watch
