As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

I can't find any faults in this movie. I love it. I think that nobody here pretends that this is a serious movie. Even the last scene with a wink proves it. I can't think of a boring scene in this movie, because each scene is not long enough to bore the viewer. It's great to look at, the settings, the locations, the color, the costumes, the camp factor is under control, lots of casual cameos don't ruin it, and there's even a great funny gag reel at the end. I'm not a fan of Gwyneth Paltro or Mike Myers, and I still love the movie. Plus you've got fun sexy Christina Applegate, icon Candice Bergen, Kelly Preston who seems to burst out of her costumes.... A very entertaining movie!

"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." - Mark TwainGwyneth Paltrow and Christina Applegate are called upon to wear tight clothes in Bruno Barreto's "View From the Top". When they're not wearing tight clothes, they're wearing skimpy clothes. Sometimes they wear tight skimpy clothes. Competing with Paltrow and Applegate is actor Mark Ruffalo, who occasionally wears tight clothes, but mostly wears normal clothes."View from the Top" co-stars Mike Myers, who plays an abnormal character tasked with wearing fairly normal clothes. The film's plot, in which a small-towner harbours dreams of becoming a flight attendant, involves the presence of many other clothed characters. No character in the film is particularly interesting, nor are the clothes they wear, but it can be said, with some confidence, that they do indeed wear clothes.6/10 – A film with clothes.

Plot-less. Would have been better as just straight up pornography. Just get them people to f*cking, cut out the middle man. A movie made of ghosts, one haunting after the next and all that is gained is a numb spiritual emptiness. Gwyneth Paltrow is a pretty lady, I understand, but does she really need a whole movie to herself? What story is she gonna tell me? A pretty lady struggles, a pretty lady perseveres, a pretty lady achieves? Is that really a story? If there is a love story in this, you know it's gonna work out well in the end? Don't you know that? Please tell me you know that. If this movie was a forest, I would burn it down, down to the ground.

--I really don't get why so many people don't like this movie. Here's my checklist to see if you will like this movie.1.) Do you like Gwyneth? 2.) Do you like movies that are fun and have great positive messages? 3.) Do you like movies that aren't too serious? 4.) Do you like movies with a great soundtrack? 5.) Do you like rooting for the underdog? If you answered yes to all of these then you'll like this movie. So what if it's about a small town girl aspiring to be a flight attendant. To some people that would be a big step up in their life. The movie talks about believing in yourself when no one else does. Loving what you love even if all your friends aren't really into it. As silly as this plot sounds it still remains one of my favorite Gwyneth Paltrow movies. Sure there are a lot of cheesy parts, and sure its not a life everyone would dream about or would think is so great. But the message behind the story is very positive and upbeat. Plus it's fun! Perfect Friday night or date night movie to relax too. And although Amy Sherman Palladino is one of my favorite writers I think she gave this one a bum rap by dissing it on Gilmore Girls. The movie and the soundtrack are winners in my book.
