A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The whole story shows that point, what many of us have forgotten- dreams are not only just our imagination, dreams are our weapon to fight against the cruel world. Georgia shows the true character of a middle-aged, simple woman, who is working at magazine as customer service specialist. She doesn't have kids, husband, but she has a big crush for a co-worker, yet, her personality and life made her to live in shadows and she can't express her feelings. It all changes, when Georgia hits her head and later gets diagnosed with disease, which gives her no longer than 2 weeks to live. Instead of crying at the pillow all days, she gets her in hands and decides to spend her last days as luxurious, rich woman and takes all money from bank (from sold business papers) and goes to one of the most expensive hotels in the world. Spending days at hotel she finally realizes the natural beauty of life. She meets the Chef, which she was fan of for long time, finds new friends and teaches them that life is too short to spend it like they do, and does the most extreme things (like jumping off with parachute), what she would never have thought of in her previous life.In the end, when Georgia realizes that she needs to spend her last days with people, what she loves and express to her crush, what she wanted to say for a long time, big avalanche comes and blocks the entire road. Her crush also had the same thought of it, but due to avalanche and blocked road, he had to take the hard path to the hotel, which took him a long time. Later, when they were unite, they finally tell each other what they had felt and that he will never leave her no matter what. As little time passed, to hotel came letter, which explained that diagnose was false due to machine failure. Georgia looked up in the skies and told: ''You are so wrong, how are you doing it like that?'', afterwards, she laughed. The movie is definitely for warm evenings and beautiful masterpiece. Even though movie suffered a bit problems with dialogues, it still creates the atmosphere for the idea, what this movie tried to tell. This movie is a beautiful example for other movies about how to create a heartful and joyful movie for all ages. Definitely have to give credits for producer and actors (especially Queen Latifah), they did superb job.

Last Holiday starring Queen Latifah and LL Cool J is very fun, cute, and enjoyable. Queen Latifah freaking owns this movie! And the hilarious lines and great script helps her own it! This is a very warm hearted film to just sit down and enjoy! The movie manages to juggle being both funny and very warm hearted and sweet at the same time, and does it very well. The visuals here are great too, beautiful landscape views! LL Cool J is also very enjoyable here. The movie is very well written, well acted, and is very fun to watch, especially around Christmas time! I love the goings on in the movie, everything just works together very well in Last Holiday! It also teaches a good lesson and pushes a very good message. Live for the day, don't waste any time, you only live once! I think if you want a cute fun good time with a bucket of popcorn and the TV, then this the one for you to watch! 8/10 for last holiday

This is a good romantic comedy, a "feel good movie" (a remake of "Last Holiday" with Alec Guinness from Ealing Studios in 1950), highly recommended for those who want to see a movie about how you can crab every day of your life to make it a great experience. With a predictable plot (how many times we have seen this idea at the past?) but very sincere and enjoyable (althought we hope we 'll see something more interesting from the director of the "Joy LucK Club" and "Smoke" in near future). With good performances from Queen Latifah, Timothy Hutton and an especially amusement cameo from Gerard Depardieu. P.S. Including some very exciting recipes at the end...

Last Holiday, after watching the movie I felt really moved. Though predictable, the movie will make any man, woman, or child smile in the end. Before watching the movie, my friends told me the audience applauded at the theaters. The biggest regret I have about the movie was not watching it in theaters. No Oscar-awarded movie ever moved me like this. This is the only romantic movie I actually liked. I sadly expect a high-standard critic to despise this movie so don't be fulled by them. Honestly most movies are so complex nowadays, I tend to get lost in them. The movie is simple, funny, and something the whole family will enjoy.
