The ChubbChubbs! (2002)

best movie i've ever seen.

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

This short movie won the makers the Best Short Animation Oscar in 2003. I agree with it. This is a funny, beautiful and unique story with merry songs. The main character is a tender alien who likes singing a song and longs in be a singer. However, it does not seem to come true. One day, big enemies attacked the town, what does he do then? In the film, there are various unique and cute aliens including Yoda who is in a StarWars. So, the person who love alien like me may really enjoy it. In addition, I also like the music. Their singing and dancing are strange and funny, but very cute. However, I don't recommend watching for young children. It's totally cute, but the scenes of the fight are too frightened. If you are not too easily scared, you should watch right now and then go to karaoke! It's only 5 minutes and their visuals and music are fantastic!

A little alien is a janitor in a hotel bar. He is singing along with the main act when he accidentally spills water on the mico cord, cutting the music. He gets thrown out of the club. When another alien warns him about the Chubchubbs coming, he attempts to go back in the bar to tell everyone to run, but he keeps messing up the singers performance so nobody listens. Eventually these monsters get to the club, and run into the little alien. The Chubchubbs end up eating all the monsters and singng with the little alien. I thought this movie was really cute. I thought the music was funny and really fit the moment. I thought it was creative, and you had to be paying attention to understand who the real chubchubbs were. There was not anything I did not like about this movie.

Comments: Typical Pixar, which means a great short with high quality. This little movie excels in three categories. First of animation. No flaws there. No flaws at all. Second. Humor. Typical of Pixar attention has been paid to the story as well as animation. This is not just a short to flaunt their animation ability. This is also a short story with good humor and a good plot. Third. References. They're everywhere. Can you catch them all, I sure didn't on the first try.9/10

I liked this little movie a lot, but the main character kind of annoyed me. It lost points for that. But I did, in the end, feel for his dilemma, and I was glad things worked out the way they did. It was funny. But... I still think Das Rad should have gotten the Oscar.
