This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The second part of serie. not bad, not good. only a story using the recipe and the ingredients of genre, remembering many pieces from German historical movies and being, in essence, a decent work, with a very precise target. sure, the performances are far to be remarkables and the lead actress has not the most precious artistic skills but, it is one of many films mixing history and fantasy, fight between evil and good, dark and reasonable pledge for male virtues of a brave woman. and each of this motifs does "Die Rache der Wanderhure" a film remembering emotions and characters from the late childhood. a not awfull thing.

That is basically the title of this film. It came out 1.5 years after the first and half a year before the third movie about Alexandra Neldel's Wanderhure. The first film was a huge success with audiences, so they had to make two more of course. All 3 films are television releases. However, I believe all 3 of these films are not great at all and it's pretty embarrassing to see they even got some awards recognition. Film number 2 is set in the 15th century again and is admittedly, not as bad as the first, mostly because it does not have such blatant anti-male messages. But still it's not a good film at all. The main problem already begins with the main actress, who simply is not talented in my opinion and probably only still has a career because of her looks. The film's director here is the same as for the first film, but he did not return for the third and final entry. A bit shocking to see also he came up with a quality movie like "Barfuß bis zum Hals" and then goes on to make rubbish like the "Wanderhure" movies. I guess it all comes down to the script. Here, no less than 3 people worked on the script and still it's such a mess, actually even four if you count the pretentious male pseudonym of the female writer. I guess she thinks she is talented. Sorry, nope. The cast is similar to the one from the first film and there are some mentionable additions too: Schweins, Berger and Krisch joined the acting crew here and people with an interest in German cinema may be familiar with the trio. The worst part of the movie is probably when Neldel's character starts singing randomly out of nowhere. Or that the filmmakers probably watched Game of Thrones and thought: Oh we need a dwarf too! Admittedly, you have to say in Neldel's and the director's favor that the supporting cast is not better than her either and that it's pretty much impossible to make a quality movie out of a crap script. The film's title is about the central character taking revenge for the disappearance of her boyfriend and she is not the only one. Another ex-boyfriend of her wants his very own revenge here. There are some sequences in this film which are downright bad, so bad that it's actually funny how this film takes itself so seriously. And the masks worn by core characters here look like from a very cheap dressing-up party. And what was with the random inclusion of martial arts. Did they think for a moment they are Tarantino and this was Kill Bill? Kinda funny actually. Anyway, as I said before this film is still not as bad as the first and I will watch the third soon. Check out my review for this one too. You will probably wonder how bad the first must be then. Well.. you don't wanna know. Trust me. Also this movie here has more wandering and less whoring around compared to the first. Anyway, not a good film at all. Highly not recommended.
