Epic Movie (2007)

Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

Let's star off by telling you what this movie isn't, it's not a big budget classic comedy film that'll be on the top ten list of anyone. It's not a block buster that'll stand the test of time. It's not The Naked Gun or Hot Shots either. So what is it? It's funny, it's what you expect in a knock off of the big budget block busters that it makes fun of. I've read numerous reviews from people who spent their entire review trashing this film. This was evidence to me that they clearly had no clue what they were going to see. Any time a film is not made available for critics before being released you should know it's not the greatest movie ever made. My suggestion is you watch this film understanding what it's not and just lighten up a tad.

I strongly disagree with the rating this movie got. Get Hard (2015) should have a 2.3. Ark (2005) should have a 1.0, But this... it was nice. I think it had some good humor attached to it (the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 reference, for instance actually does make sense, and made for good laughs in my opinion). Among other things, it had a plot and didn't needlessly generate discordance (hey, since we're speaking of spoilers, I'll put in a spoiler for people - Will Farrell's Get Hard. period).Point being, it's a lampoon of movies which came out at the time. And overall, it handled those lampoons quite well, and where it succeeded was making me feel relaxed and not perturbed (Will Farrell's Get Hard, people). So, jokes apart, watch it. It is epic in its own silly way, and it doesn't shirk away from what it intended to do - it's a lampoon, and that was how it was intended to be.

This review Will be almost exactly the same as my Disaster Movie review. Why do you ask? Because it is the exact same movie thy make!!! Again, everything Friedburg and Seltzer put their eyes On dies.This time thy spoof epic films, but I think That thy don't know what epic films are (Ben hur, Gone with the wind, Lauwense of Arabia), so thy spoof the blockbuster films of the last 2 years before 2007, Like Narnia, the da Vinci code, Pirates of the Carabien.The actors are at best stupid, the story non existent, the humor feels like torture.If you have seen the other movie movies, There is nothing to see here. Move along to something better.

This movie came into being because of all those other scary movie-esque titles being released/are still being released. Scary movie and a couple of its sequels redefined the genre. This "thing" that came after its nothing but shining a terrible light on something that started out so pure. I pity anyone who had to work on this movie and wonder about all the careers it must have ruined in the process. This movie is cancer to the movie industry and cancer to its genre, its getting harder and harder for me to see a future where this kind of movie is beloved again. It lived and shall die with a couple of the scary movie's and thats a sad truth. Please don't watch it, i can guarantee you'll come out dumber for the experience.
