There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Released in 2004, "Decoys" chronicles events at a Canadian campus where female aliens masquerade as hot blondes and seduce male students in order to perpetuate their dying species. Corey Sevier plays the protagonist with likable Elias Toufexis as his best friend and Meghan Ory as his maybe-girlfriend. Stefanie von Pfetten and Kim Poirier play the key alien babes. Richard Burgi plays a detective and Nicole Eggert a police officer."Decoys" mixes elements of 1995's "Species" with the campus environment of 1998's "Urban Legend." It can't compete with the former but it's marginally better than the latter IMHO. While many people hate this film I give it a relatively high rating simply because it's entertaining, which is my main criteria for the worthiness of any movie. "Decoys" hits most of the mandatory checkboxes for an effective horror flick. I particularly liked the campus-in-the-dead-of-winter location, which no other slasher/monster flick has done to my knowledge, except the sequel, 2007's "Decoys 2: Alien Seduction." Maybe the reason horror aficionados dislike it is because it has so much humor and camp. I usually don't like horror films that mix-in comedy, like 2002's crappy "Cabin Fever," but "Decoys" and its equally-good sequel mix them in a palatable way. Neither of these movies is scary, although there are a couple of "got ya" scenes and the aliens are hideous, but they're satisfyingly amusing with good casts and superb women. The film runs 95 minutes and shot in Ottawa, Ontario, mainly the University of Ottawa.GRADE: B

A good college-age comedy horror with many ideas taken from movies such as 'Species'. Not really very gory and I think it would only really scare teenagers. Had it not been a comedy I would've had quite a few criticisms about this movie. It starts of showing college life as being all sex drugs and rock and roll. The girls of the fraternity house are beautiful, ravenous sex sluts and as the movie progresses we find out this is because they are aliens trying to save their race from extinction. In order to do this they must mate with human men but must perfect their technique so they do not kill them in the process.Towards the end there were a few cheesy emotional scenes that weren't really necessary for this type of movie, though I would still recommend it if you're wanting a laugh and a story that's easy to follow.

Normally I would never watch a movie like Decoys. I am not a fan of this type of cinema and the description sounded like a big ripoff of the 80's cult flick Revenge of the Teenage Vixens From Outer Space. Since Decoys was given to me as a gift just recently I figured I would force myself to watch it...Basically, the storyline is similar to that of Revenge of the Teenage Vixens From Outer Space, just the vixens aren't "teenagers" and they don't turn their victims into vegetables. Anyway, the movie takes place on a college campus. Luke is the star of the movie and he witnesses these two beautiful girls turning into aliens before his very eyes. The only problem is getting everyone else to believe his story. Meanwhile, the "vixens" are screwing guys to death, literally, by freezing them from the inside out. What will Luke do to stop this invasion? Well, as much as this movie looked dreadful, it really isn't that bad. The acting was actually pretty decent and the special effects (for lame CGI) weren't as bad as I would have expected. My two main complaints were the cliché horny college kids and the absolutely awful music played throughout the movie. But, I guess this movie was aimed to more of an early 20's age group. I guess the makers figure that is what people listen to or how they act. Whatever...Anyway, I got a few laughs out of this movie and it kept my interest throughout. So, I guess it did what it was aiming for. Check it out on a rainy day. 6/10

The film starts out with two college guys getting into their new dorm surroundings and their eyes pop out of their heads with all the very good looking sexy and hot gals on their floor and next door. Instead of the guys hitting on the girls, these two gals don't waste time and seem to realize that these guys are virgins that need to be taken care of. One of the guys winds up in one of the girls apartment and views some very wild action which takes place between these very good looking gals. For some strange reason, these two gals do not have any belly buttons and from then on these guys are really in for some big trouble when they try to score. Enjoyable film
