I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

The acting in this movie is really good.

Just so you know, I was pretty much unaffected by any of the torture in this movie, so that doesn't affect my opinion. What does affect my opinion is that this movie is downright boring!I mean, it started off kind of interesting, but it got really slow with all of the long "experiments" and the lingering shots, and, though I'm sure she did the best she could, the victim didn't really give a convincing enough performance for me to be really believe she was suffering, with the exception of a few scenes, which as a result made me unable to be very disturbed or uncomfortable. I did squirm a little in a few scenes, but that was it.To be fair though, it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. 45 minutes of three completely random guys torturing a completely random girl (who falls asleep a lot I might add), no plot, just torture. They slap her (over... and over... and over again), kick her, spin her in a chair until she vomits, pour boiling hot water on her arm and then pour maggots in the wound, throw guts all over her while she's sleeping (???), and there's the eyeball scene, which is really the only memorable thing about this movie.There are also some scenes of the victim in some kind of net out in the woods, which seem to pop up at random and make no sense, it made sense when it came up at the beginning of the movie because that's how we can assume she got captured, but when it keeps popping up throughout not meaning anything, it's unnecessary. Maybe it did mean something, I don't know.Another thing that didn't really make sense: The girl's getting guts thrown on her while she's asleep, she wakes up to find she's covered in guts and she screams for like a minute, but when she had boiling hot water poured on her arm she barely even groaned!?!?!?!At it's best, the movie made us feel sorry for the girl and everything that's happening to her, at it's worst, it's dreadfully boring and non-believable. Overall, it seems like a rather pointless movie. I don't know, maybe I'm just really jaded, but I wouldn't recommend this one myself.

C'mon people, you can't be serious, another case of advertising snuff when it totally isn't! This isn't even remotely scary nor is it terrifying or depraved - it is just utterly terrible amateurish videowork, made for the next party to get the girls laid.The gore is incredibly bad, even the eye-scene is far from making me want to puke but just making me want to take the camera and hit those guys over the head. The girl is just laying there rubber-faced, not moving at all. It would have been funnier to use a real doll instead.One season of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" is more frightening than this one. Don't waste your time or your money.

This movie has to be my favorite of all time. Its not supposed to have a plot, because its makers wanted people (Charlie Sheen, I think)to believe it was a real snuff film. This was an exercise in visual effects, and doesn't cut away when the action happens like every other film does. Movies these days are now all about sound effects, leaving the visuals to be made by computers cause its easier to deal with CGI blood. There still are movie makers who still can't get fake blood to look like the real thing. There is no rape scene because that wasn't the point of making the film. Have you seen the hills have eyes 2? The rape scene was funny instead of shocking. Although i'm sure there are some GONZO porn film makers that have tried to marry porn with horror. But since they probably suck at making films, they probably wouldn't be able to pull it off. The movie "Baise Moi" has a disturbing rape scene because the actresses are actually porn stars and they show everything even though the movie overall sucks.Its too bad that a movie can't be made without thinking of the money aspect of it all, especially when talking about an AO or NC-17 rating. I'm sure Eli Roth has the ability/talent to make his Hostel film series much much better, but he has too tame it down to get an R rating...or at least I hope that his movies sucked because of these limitations.Watch Traces of Death or More than Smashed Pumpkins if you want no frills real footage (accident & crime scenes/footage). Don't forget that this movie was made in 1985. The fact that this film can still stand up against most crap made these days says a lot about this film. That would be like someone saying the 8bit Super Mario Brothers sucks because the PS3 has better graphics.

The first in the series of ultra-gory movies from Japan, Guinea Pig: Devil's Experiment is a nasty little pseudo-snuff film that lovingly documents the torture of a woman.Each of the steps in her ordeal are titled: Hit (she is slapped repeatedly, and then hit across the face with a bag full of coins); Kick (she is pushed to the ground and kicked); Claw (pliers are used to pinch her skin); Unconscious (the woman is spun in a chair and forced to drink whisky until she is sick); A sound (she is made to listen to a terrible noise for hours on end until she is a dribbling wreck); Skin (fingernail removal via pliers); Burn (hot oil is poured onto the victim's arm); Worm (maggots are applied to the wounds).Then, in a section which lacked an English translation on my copy, the torturers chuck offal at the girl, slice open her hand with a scalpel before smashing it with a hammer, and finish off with the old 'needle through the eye' gag.To be honest, Hit through to Worm is fairly lame stuff. Sure, it is nasty in tone, but it could've been thrown together by any group of morally retarded film students (myself included). 'Unconscious' looks like your average teenage drinking game (I'm sure I played that one during my college days), whilst 'A Sound' is nothing shocking: I've had to listen to my workmate Phil's ipod for 9 hours solid—now that is torture!For fans of gore, it is only the final few minutes that will be of interest. The hand slicing and smashing is VERY realistic, as is the puncturing of the eyeball. It's easy to see how, in this film's early days of being circulated on VHS, it was often mistaken for the real thing.Devil's Experiment is certainly an interesting film if you're studying the history of the underground horror scene, but as far as entertainment goes, it's actually quite dull. I rate this film as average, giving it a 'middling' score of 5/10.
