For ten years, Cho has been in the snow of Mount Shin Fung waiting for a rare flower to blossom that will cure his wife who, back in Chung Yuan, is slowly killing all of the members of the Eight Big Clans. Something Cho did to her early in their marriage has turned her hair white and driven her mad. Cho's nephew, Kit, marries Lyre; they are deeply in love. On their wedding night, Ni-Chang, the bride with white hair, kidnaps Lyre and takes her to her harem of fighting women to indoctrinate her against Kit. Kit tries to lead a rescue party, but they are up against formidable opponents. Can Cho come in time with the blossom to soften Ni-Chang's heart?

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

This sequel is quite awful to be honest. I'm a fan of kung-fu movies and this is by far the worst I've seen. Bride with White Hair 1 was actually quite good and this is a huge disappointment. BWWH 1 was brilliant in some ways with an unique odd-ball evil bad guy.The couple from the first movie played a small role in this movie. Instead the movie revolves around a bunch of uninteresting characters trying to seek revenge on their fallen clans. But there's no antagonist in this movie so the revenge is mute. The worst part to this movie is the kung-fu or lack there of. They literally had a street style knife fight. The character at the end refused to fight because there was lack of choreography.

I think this film would have got better reviews if it had been called something else. The problem is Ronny Yu made a great, almost perfect film with the original Bride and this has rather a rushed feel to it. The epic, mythological feel of the first film has been replaced by something else and Brigitte Lin has no real space to develop the tragic character until right at the end when she is reunited with Leslie Cheung in a not exactly happy ending, if perhaps fitting. But the photography is wonderful and Sunny Chan is, in my opinion, a better actor than some give credit for. Joey Man does what she is there for and provides the eye candy and some nudity. They are supported by the great Helena Law Lan and Christy Chung plays it for fun and dies a suitably tragic death. This is much bloodier than the first film and the feminist, even lesbian overtones are too obvious at times. The kung fu and sword play is minimal but I sat through the film really enjoying it and if you don't consider it a sequel then it is still better than many other films.

The Best Chinese/Hong Kong Action flick you'll ever see. And it's 20 years old. Ronny Hu set the standard with this classic action packed HK spectacle. A must for budding action directors..

After watching The bride with white hair, I just couldn't wait to watch it's sequel, The bride with white hair 2. I thought that number one was Great. But after hearing the negative reviews most people gave the bride with white hair 2 , I became discouraged. But It didn't matter. I had to see the sequel and see what happened to decide for myself. I'm so glad I did, because this movie was the greatest, most emotional love story ever. It was better than number 1. It had more action and more humour. Much more EDGE OF YOUR SEAT suspense. It wasn't as meaningful as the first one, It had a lot more action. But YET AGAIN the Cinematography was spectacular. The best ever. Both Directors did a marvelous job. And the visuals and music were great. The music really added something. If you haven't seen this, then see it. Every movie goer should. And the ending. What a great ending. The best ending for any Romance movie or ANY movie. It was so beautiful. That one scene is one I can never forget. I just wish that they would have tried to put both the bride with white hair 1 & 2 in the theatres here, in the west. What a shame. Oh well. Just watch it and Enjoy this BRILLIANT MASTERPIECE
