Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Although this film was nothing terribly outstanding it was a bit better than the usual teen slasher flick. Scott Bairstow is having a hard time dealing with the death of a younger brother and he and his parents moved to another town where he can finish up high school anonymously so to speak. This one time jock falls in with a crowd of Goths who are into Satan worship and are led by a charismatic Artful Dodger type played by Eric Mabius. The gang also has a Fagin in former New Kid on the Block and future detective Danny Reagan Donnie Wahlberg. He supplies them recreational pharmaceuticals, they break into houses and steal for him.It takes a while to get his eyes wide open, but eventually Bairstow figures out that these Black Circle Boys are a truly evil bunch and that Mabius is a Charles Manson in training.Lots of praise has been given to those already mentioned. But for me I liked Chad Lindberg who was rather touching as wannabe who wants so much to be accepted by Mabius that he goes out on his own and screws up royally. He pays a very heavy price.Definitely Black Circle Boys is a bit better than most cinema of this type.

I only found out about this movie yesterday while looking for other things that Eric Mabius had been in as I was watching Resident Evil. I saw the poster for it and thought it looked very "The Skulls" and after I read the synopsis, I went and watched it on YouTube and absolutely fell in love. This movie really makes you feel so many things for the main characters and Eric Mabius' portrayal of Shane was beyond convincing. Not only that but the fact that this movie is based on the true story of Ricky Kasso just makes it so much more meaningful. I am honestly recommending this movie to everyone I know and will be watching again as soon as possible as it has now become one of my favorite movies.

While watching this movie I couldn't stop thinking about "The Lost Boys". Well both movies have similar plots and even similar characters. The basic plot is even similar; involving a band of boys who followed the wrong way.In "Black Circle Boys" we have boys who worship "The Father" and aspire one day to play on a famous rock club. They will do anything in order to please the father. Everything means murder, robbery, vandalism, etc. This movie is raw and crude at some points but what I dug about it was the symphaty and sadness I felt for the two main members of the band. They are obviously misoriented boys who live on a dysfunctional family and do not know what to do with their lives. On real life, those kind of boys try to find warm and help on Satanic cults. If this movie is based on true events, it's a very well done research and displays perfectly the sadness of teenagers that followed the wrong path just because of trying to find a better life.Education and values are learned in home...

Without giving anything away, let me first say the so called buildup was pathetic. Leading to an ending so bad I actually threw the DVD out a window. I wish it was legal to sue the makers of this film for wasting that much of my life watching this train wreck.I've read someone claim the acting was good. Yes, if by good you mean huge gaps in time where nothing is said at all, actors obviously reading off cue cards, and actors who mumble lines to cover saying the wrong things. This movie has the feel of something a group of kids make to show all their friends. There is little to no blood, the violence factor is laughable, and although this is supposed to be a cult flick, it fails there too. They seems to be a huge abomination of direction in this movie, and many times it feels lost inside it's own lines. The characters flip flop their acting, personality, and roles a few times, but always remain lifeless and shallow. You going into the movie not caring about anyone, and leave hating the movie for ruining your time.I'd rather watch paint dry than this heap of horrible film again.
