I wanted to but couldn't!
Great Film overall
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
First i will try to make a comment as honestly as possible..and to correct other comments that are personal and not realistic,SIN THE MOVIE is not that bad ,it was actually entertaining and the main character is captivating .The animation is OK,the drawing is OK ....but the action ,the situations and the locations are where the movie was captivating and fun.The monsters are cool ,the transformation of genetics into monsters makes me think of when i used to watch Japanese anime in the 90's.The story is very simple for a change, since Japanese anime movies usually are complicated and long...this one is short easy to follow and full of action .conclusion : this movie is simple animation with a lot of action and violence,i give it a 6/10
This was yet another weak video game based anime like Fatal Fury. The plot had more cliches per minute than almost any other anime I have seen. The animation varied from really quite nice to absolutely terrible. Even the action sequences boring. Only watch this movie if you really have nothing else. I give it a 3.
Summary: good guy tries to stop evil scientist's mutants. The main feature of Sin was gore and violence. There was a clear plot to the film but constant killing and destruction forces that to the back of your mind, making you focus in the visual aspects. After watching you wish I wish I had known more about most of the characters backgrounds (especially the little girl who everyone wanted to capture). If only ADV extended it for 30 minutes to provide the information, to give the characters more personality instead of portraying them as either cruel, innocent, strong and/or rebelious, this movie would have much more appeal. I give it a 6.
After several failures in the video game movie genre, I went into this not expecting much. What I got was a semi low budget anime film with a great story line. At 60 minutes long it never had time to drag. The animation and voice-overs were above acceptable. The 3-D animation was the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. It's too bad that this movie may never get past video game fans to the anime fans that might really enjoy it.
