Best movie of this year hands down!
Wow! Such a good movie.
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
I'm glad I remembered the name of this obscure Anime movie. I haven't found my VHS copy because the last time I watched this gem was on the mid 90's. Anyways, I have some good memories like the violent action scenes involving the main character and the evil possessed leader of the "villains".The animation is decent but not good enough as is other early 90's Anime features. I'd describe it as a mix of Mazinger Z with Evil Dead or something like that. The plot was obscure but that doesn't means that this is a Horror oriented Anime. No, in fact it's filled with action and some cheesy dialogs. Watch it if you can find it , it's a weird Anime movie but not among the best.
Cybernetics Guardian is a below-average anime movie about a scientist who gets posessed by the god of evil, goes on a rampage to destroy half the city and then miraculously regains his humanity all for the sake of love. Avoid it, unless you're snowed in and stuck with nothing but this movie.You'd be better off watching animated gems like - jin roh, spriggan, nausicaa, wings over honnemaise, mononoke hime, grave of the fireflies or akira.
