Why so much hype?
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Ophelia is a beautiful movie with a wonderful cast. I was in awe of Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watt's acting, as they were really the stars of the show. The film itself was captivating and I loved the dialogue. It was such a different take on a known classic and even though I am familiar with the original, I was engrossed every step of the way. I cannot wait until this comes out in theaters.
I go to Sundance with my friends every year and we see a lot of movies. This year, I was a big fan of Ophelia. I am not super familiar with Hamlet, actually, so I'm not sure how much it mirrored the original, but I found the story to be compelling and interesting. I also thought that the chemistry between the two main characters was dynamite. It was also really beautiful to look at, too. We would all recommend it.
I took my daughter to see this movie and we both loved it. It has a really strong message and was very entertaining.
I saw this film last night at the Sundance Film Festival and I was blown away. The sets are so gorgeous, the acting is amazing (especially Daisy Ridley), the music was compelling and it was such a fresh take on the original. I absolutely loved this film and look forward to seeing it in theaters.
