The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

After getting stranded in the desert, a lone woman finds her struggle to brave the elements threatened by a relentless, ravenous zombie bent on killing and eating her and anyone who comes to help and finally forces her to fend off the deadly creature in order to survive.Overall, this here was a rather enjoyable effort. One of the most endearing aspects of this one stems from the rather unique and enjoyable premise at the heart of this one. Rather than detailing one person's plight against a horde of creatures as would normally be the case here, this one tends to focus on her lone struggle about a singular, relentless zombie that continually charges after her no matter how far away in the desert she appears to get. Since she manages to understand the rules of the genre by immediately expressing the need for the typical rules here, this one goes about throwing that around with the removal of the weapon early on in the initial encounter, which gives this one a strong, intriguing start by forcing it beyond the typical series of exploits throughout here as there's seemingly only a few actual traditional zombie encounters throughout here. The initial encounter between out on the highway gets this off to a nice start by employing the kind of setup that gets the film going as well as the series of encounters throughout the desert featuring her leading him along at a slow pace wandering around through the scenery by a few strides adds a humorous setup to their antics as she berates him while walking only a few feet in front of him. The eventual scenes of her around the cliffs waking up to him growling at her have plenty of solid chills as well as a touch of comedy, while the later scenes of her starting to warm up to him have a different atmosphere than would be expected in such a genre film, especially once it deals with the finale of the chaos at the abandoned airfield as well as getting back to suburbia for the touching moments included within that gives this a strong, sensitive ending note. Coupled with the great gore effects and stellar zombie make-up, there's plenty to like here over it's few minor issues. The main problem here is the fact that there's just such a flimsy story that it really seems short in terms of what is supposed to be happening. This one just seems to fit more in a shorter, condensed state rather than a full-length effort as it tends to feature here wandering through the desert way too often than doing anything, all due to its setup that barely seems to support its length. That also comes from its other problem, too many useless scenes to bump up the running time. From the rape attempt that has no point in here to the scenes at the airfield and her memories of the past, this has some useless parts to stretch out it's running time. However, these aren't too detrimental overall.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, a rape and drug use.

A few times this title passed me on the net and now that it is available it was time to pick it up. It's not going to be a flick for everyone because it do contains zombies but it's not all about the zombie(s). In fact it's between the relationship between a human and a zombie following her closely. A bit of a zombie Stockholm syndrome. The flick itself starts off rather in a gory way and I thought that it was going to be a gory flick. In some ways it is but on the other hand it only happens when a zombie do attack. That is of course normal but as stated, it's not all about the zombies attacking. Due the fact that there is some kind of friendship starting between the two (hulan and zombie) you will have some funny situations, maybe it wasn't intended but I did had a smile here and there. Is it all that good, the effects are really well done and are above mediocre and the acting is also okay but the script do has it flows. There are a lot of situations that you think, hub, what do happens now or why do one react that way.Still, if you are into zombies it's a must see, it'do has it gore but it's never scary. It fits perfectly in the horror genre but I can understand that some will turn it off due plot holes and the story itself.Gore 2/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 3/5 Story 2,5/5 Comedy 0,5/5

This movie is a prime example of the flawed ratings that IMDb is now subjecting us horror movie lovers to. I know a 5.6 rating isn't very high. But a 5.6 for a horror movie on this site usually means the movie is somewhat decent. This movie IS NOT one of those movies. It is VERY boring, the protagonist is very annoying with her very stupid decision making. The script is flawed beyond repair. The only thing about this movie that is OK is Brittany Allen. She plays out her role to the best of her ability with what she was given. That's pretty much the only reason i gave this movie 4 stars. I just don't see how these reviews are honest. I love indie horror flicks, even some bad ones are still decent. But this one is just terrible. Only reason i even gave it a chance was because of the rating from this site and the now obvious fake reviews.Bottom line... Stay away from this movie, help bring this rating down to where it should be. The only honest reviews are the ones posted on the last page. Do not fall victim to the BS.

Boring movie with very unlike-able main character. I can never get behind a movie where the main (and really only significant) alive character is a crappy person and makes stupid decisions. At first I wondered, is this meant to be a comedy? Certainly its no horror nor a thriller. Black 'comedy' maybe. Annoying cheap drunk stripper coke head uses guy, shows shes a crap person, boringly gets chased by a very poor make-up-ed smalls, lets her misandry fly and over all proves she really is an unlike-able 'dumb broad'- would be a much more accurate summary of this movie. Would definitely recommend re-watching TWD for the 100th time over this. But in the pros - good use of landscape, actors aren't terrible and zombie sound effects are good.
