Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

I liked the suspense of the movie, which many seem to criticize for failing to deliver a high point. The truth is, we are accustomed to expecting so much drama that the most obvious, in-your-face answers are unpredictable. And the movie sure got me waiting for the climax impatiently. The story is very interesting, especially for a fan of mysteries like myself. Emraan is really good in his performance. I was disappointed with Vidya though, a brilliant actor like her using gimmicks like shouting every two minutes is jarring. I can't comment much about the rest of the cast though.Where the movie loses out is the lack of depth. If it did not want to go right into the subject, it could have been more fast paced in the bargain. The characters are unexplained as well. We hardly know anything substantial about the people in the movie by the end of it. The attempts at comedy would only impress juveniles-for whom anything and everything that is related to sex is daring, real and gutsy. Irrespective of whether it actually makes for humor or not.A movie with great potential, that failed to deliver. I would recommend watching it only for its unusual suspense, and Emraan Hashmi's performance.

the movie didn't make at the box office because most indians are used to junk movies like dabangg, rowdy rathore, chennai express etc. (overacting, poor story, illogical action, unnecessary songs, dance, and yeah happy ending of course this are the common things that people nowadays want to see in movies) since these things were missing in the movie therefore it didn't make at the box officeon the other hand Ghanchakkar has a different kind of comedy not usually seen in other movies and requires little maturity to understand the movie had a good suspense not a very great movie but yeah it is a good movie

Where's the money ? Where's the money ?? That's all you can really hear through out the movie. It starts off well and then its a nose dive. I would never recommend this movie to anyone. I can't believe Vidya Balan decided to do this movie. There are just a few funny moments. Well you cant really call them funny. I love both Emraan Hashmi and Vidya but I will think twice before watching their movie again. Waste of time and money. Very poor direction, screenplay. A few dialogues were good and funny but other than that an embarrassment. Hope Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan learn from their mistakes and think twice before signing up even if your husband is producing the film.

The movie is set to disappoint you with an easily guessed end.The movie started well but somewhere around the middle it started to falter. An attempt of Dark Comedy has been made though with not much of success resulting in forced comedy.Acting has been good from both the co-stars but in vain.Emraan Hashmi seems to be getting better and better with every movie that he signs and so does Vidya. The ending could have been made much better but ultimately the writer seems to have decided to stick to Bollywood style. The music is good.Viewers can give the movie a shot but at the same time not being too much hopeful of it.Overall Rating-(5.5/10)
