Brother's Keeper (2002)
The FBI sought the help of Lucinda Pond, a former agent of the body, to try to locate the author of a series of murders that allegedly may have committed his brother. Lucinda, who left the police years ago, decides to help reluctantly convinced by an old boyfriend. The tracks are directly related to the abuse that Lucinda and her brother suffered during his childhood, which seems to be in the suspect has caused a serious psychological disorder.

Save your money for something good and enjoyable
Highly Overrated But Still Good
It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
This movie is deceptive. What attracted me was the director John Badham. The cast fits the machinations of the plot, how unlikely they may be. There are outstanding questions throughout that seem to make little sense. But for the most part, they are resolved. This is worth the time and effort for a moderately successful mystery, cops, crime, who don it, well shot film. The prime cast is attractive and establishes an ongoing rapport. The film hinges on the seriousness of the action, but the humour leads to some unknown surprises. The relationship among the 3 main protagonists sets up questions as to why and what the bad guy/guys are doing what they are doing. The answers are not straightforward. Recommended
"My Brother's Keeper" is a thriller with an excellent beginning. The character of Lucinda Pond is presented as a loser, and the first murder is very weird. Then, the interesting "story of Lucinda" is efficiently disclosed through flashbacks and the viewer finds that the serial killer is her brother, Ellis Pond, indeed. From this moment on, the story becomes a festival of clichés, with the friction of Lucinda and Junior, but anyway, the plot maintains intriguing. However, the corny conclusion is simply awful and spoils this reasonable thriller. The motives of Ellis are not reasonable for such an intelligent guy; Lucinda protecting Ellis is ridiculous, no matter he is her brother; and Lucinda returning to her family, after her affair with her chief, being a drunken woman looking for one night stand is shameful. It had twists, it had lead characters that weren't perfect, and it had moments of suspense and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I watched the copy I have at least twenty times, which is a record for me. I loved the riddles that were dispersed throughout, and I found the characters of Lucinda and Ellis Pond to be well-rounded and excellently portrayed. It makes you think, which is more than a lot of people expect from a movie without theatrical release. And for once, the evil bad guy isn't one to make gaping mistakes. Intriguing plot twists, action sequences, and flashbacks help the story along throughout, not that it needs the assistance.
I don't really care to be honest. It was a very formulaic "thriller" that I didnt bother watching the end. Tripplehorn's career is nosediving at an alarming rate if this is the best she can offer. To be honest I wasnt too disappointed as I didn't expect much, it just passed the time.
