The VICE GUIDE TO TRAVEL is the first installment in VICE magazine’s new DVD series. The series will feature short documentaries arranged around a different theme. For this edition we went to the kinds of places that nobody else wants to visit. We traveled to the corners of the world where news is happening, the forgotten locales where strange people and stories lie and where history is being made every day. This is the VICE idea of a vacation.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Almost all of the Vice Guide series I've seen have been fantastic. They talk to real people and come from a different perspective than televised news. Most of the episodes are eye-opening and have given me a greater understanding of how unfortunate and intriguing the lives of other people are everyday. They travel absolutely everywhere. Lebanon, Russia, North Korea, Mexico, Liberia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Paraguay, The Philippines, and Israel. My personal favorites are The Vice Guide to North Korea, Mecca Diaries, Filipino Feed Lot, and The Vice Guide to Liberia.Highly recommended.
