A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Aside from the fact that I went to school with Jared Robbins(Charlie) I absolutely enjoyed this film! It was funny and entertaining and perfect for the whole family. Jared Robbins in a great kid and can act too. I've seen him in school and he's hilarious. If you can find a copy of this movie or catch it on cable I would try to see it. You might find it to be something up your alley! Rating: 6 of 10 stars Chris

Ok this movie does reassemble some other well known movies like Short Circuit but it was made on a low budget and the cast was mostly locally sourced from the Detroit area... Therefore if you wasn't aware of that you would think that it was a little know high budget movie. The reason why is because the acting is mostly first class the story is good, it does get a little drawn out in some parts and the vacuum cleaner noises do tend to get a little annoying. Jared Robbins who plays Charlie does have a striking similarity to Jonathan Taylor Thomas apart from being a little taller. Watch this movie if you can... I'm sure you and your family will like it!

An experimental `bio-chip' bestows anthropomorphic properties on an outdated, household vacuum cleaner in this derivative family yarn featuring Amanda Donohoe and Giancarlo Esposito.Newcomer Jared Robbins takes center stage as `Stardust's' owner, a schoolboy whose scientist-father has been imprisoned for refusing to co-operate with the `evil military complex.' Get the picture? After promises of comparisons to `Short Circuit' and `Home Alone,' this fantasy quickly fizzles out.It started off strong and I really wanted to like it, but `Stardust' is a major waste of time. I kept waiting for the dumb vacuum cleaner -- and the movie -- to come to life. Neither did.
