Riley Rewind (2013)

From the very beginning it was only bad acting and terribly clichéd plot. Having watched this a while ago I can guarantee that it sticks in your mind - my abhorrence for it, that is. Unfortunately I don't recall the soundtrack or special effects (although most reviews seem have to have been positive about these). However the whole turning-back-time-saving- someone, despite having links to Anna's own sister's story, is far too predictable, and I felt that the story was barely worth watching. If the writers want to improve their work, an original twist is needed. Also that bit about "I get injured every time I rewind time" needed to be introduced earlier. It just seemed like an excuse. Character development sucked - Angela continues to commit suicide after making her first friend, but not for her first lover? Acting was terrible. Anna definitely seemed more natural on her usual YouTube channel. All in all I didn't want to watch this at all. A rating of 4 is more deserving than an 8. RayWilliamJohnson's and Anna's fans should be ashamed of themselves for the overrated reviews. This web series was sub-par in every way.

It's basically a rather speedy movie; they really don't give you much time to rest! I knew it was an awesome film but whoa - earning an 8.3 is just more than what I thought! Anyway, gave it a 10 because it's a quick- paced thriller. The titular Riley is that kind of person who makes a spot in your mind, and you just can't seem not to imitate her ways and quirky quotes.Nerds and time fanatics, this is a must-watch. And who doesn't like free? It's a huge breakthrough for YouTubers and YouTube filming. This is one of those major webseries in the same category as Joey Graceffa's 'Storytellers'. If you haven't watched it yet, go watch it.

I honestly expected a lot more from Akana. Watching Anna's laugh out loud videos on her channel, I expected a lot more from her as a writer for this mini series / movie. Watching Ray from his channel, I didn't know what to expect, but it was low.The acting was horrific. Anna looks comfortable with personality in front of the camera in her channel videos. Here in this mini indie film, stale and amateur. Although, they had some decent actors. I don't know if the couple was trying to play it safe with the predictable storyline for their first big production, but I sure know they could have done a hell of a lot better. Well, Anna at least.The ending was the most disappointing. ---SPOILER ALERT-- The ending was a "everyone lives happily ever after" Are you serious? Oh come on. The movie would have had better ratings knowing the protagonist, Riley, died knowing she saved the one girl who supposedly committed suicide. That's another thing, why is the whole story focused on just the one girl that I suppose, had affected Riley. It was a bad decision to focus the story on saving her. Then all of a sudden they find out it was love that would had fix the whole situation? Now for something good about the film. The affects and music was definitely a plus. Made it a lot easier to watch. Kudos to that.Love,Anna Akana fan that cares.

This was really fresh ! and full of energy .. and by fresh I mean fluid and untouchy, like this is just what they intended it to be.. Im glad it seems like they showed their work as they wanted it and not as something commercial... The phaseing was really good and editing felt very appropriate, never felt messy or boring.. even the cut off between acts felt very appropriate and engaging to me ... Overall way better than lets say Agents of Shield... of course it was cheesy and kept simple for most of time.. but this a feel good inside movie its cool light and fun :) .... Really waiting to see more from this guys.. Im actually impressed it never felt short or too ambitious.. Well done !
