I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

Well, Madie was my 1st crush and I remember clearly how it happened. It was on September 1987 and my grandparents and me watched on french TV the « who's that girl » show while my parents were on the road. So it's total luck and this unexpected evening really punched me : Madie was totally cute with her short blond hairs and her songs were just hits after hits ! This concert was like an avalanche and was the start of great moments : my first LP, my first audio-tapes, my first star book, my first music videos ! « You can dance » then « Like a prayer » as well as her previous records were just part of my mind, my blood. Then, with « I'm breathless », things deteriorated : the songs were really average and the exhibitionist mood started to peak ! The « immaculate collection » confirmed this tendency and « Erotica » just killed my passion. For me, Madie is a singer (or an actress) and thus watching her getting nude and having sex even in the name of art is just inappropriate and totally not erotic ! From this moment, i have never bought another of her album and i follow her career from far.This video is surprisingly registered on IMDb while it's a bootleg never commercially released. For those who have the eponymous book, it's a sort of making-of, behind the stage and even incomplete as all the really hard stuff isn't in this video : here we have the beach, cycling, dancing sequences. Thus, it's quite awful with sloppy black and white for the visual and really personal fantasies for the content : the soundtrack isn't even enjoyable as it's a compilation of old french tunes ! Maybe the only interest of this video compared to the book is that by definition, it's moving pictures so you have a little more than just a static frame !

The 60 minute video for Madonna's Sex book is a great work of art. It's like seeing the book come alive as it's almost in every location. There is no talking in this film just 1920's music and Madonna is absolutely beautiful. Very rare to find now in days it's a must have for a every Madonna fan but the quality more than likely will be terrible due to the number of times copying.The video shows Madonna nude most of the time laying on her back against the ocean, riding a bicycle, dancing with Naomi Campbell and kissing and horsing around with then boyfriend Vanilla Ice. It's a lovely companion for the book. Very artistic and creative.Remember this film was never released only given by Madonna to 100 of her closest friends at the Sex Book release party. Somehow the video got out and might be on sell on Ebay time and time again.
