The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
I can't get past the fact that its a different house, and different town, goats, etc. That's all I could focus on when I watched this! I normally love Lacey's characters. Her character changed in this movie. It was not an enjoyable movie for me.
I enjoyed this film, and the two main characters seem to have good onscreen chemistry. The thing I do find laughable about all Hallmark movies is how the characters are of course not allowed to be shown as intimite until they're married. This movie was particularily silly in the fact they own this new B&B ,live in it together, but of course they don't share a bed or even a bedroom. In fact, HIS room gets completely soaked due to a roof leak so he stays at a friend's house, because in typical Hallmark fashion, he can't sleep in the same bedroom as his fiance. It's like this for EVERY Hallmark movie. I doubt the viewing audience would be scandalized if they showed...realistically that yes the couple do sleep together. This is 2018, not the 1800s.
Lacey Chabert is a wonderful actress and gives off a very sincere presence. As for Brennan Elliott, he never seems sincere in his acting unless he's angry or upset. As a happy-go-lucky guy, he doesn't cut it. He's better as a dramatic actor. I truly loved the first movie! So much that I purchased it. For this sequel, there was a lot of drama and worry. At first I disliked this movie but when I rewatched it, I changed my mind. I was expecting it to be more light-hearted but it wasn't. Even so, it was well done. Very true to life and it dealt with situations many couples go though. There were many sweet moments mixed in and overall heartwarming!
I loved the first movie and enjoyed this one too. Lacey and Brennan have chemistry which is a big reason why I like this movie. On to the BUT. I am a huge fan of the first movie and anxiously waited for the sequel. It was so disappointing that: the house is not the same (this was a big part of the first movie) the goats are not even similar, the first ones were all white and these are supposed to be the same goats, but they are mostly black.the country store and store keeper are different the diner is differentI am happy that they kept some of the original actors like Vern (Ed Asner), Casey, Rusty and Alice. But when you base a movie around opening a B&B and in the sequel the house is different it just doesn't make sense. I am sure there is a valid reason why the original house could not be used in the sequel but it was a big disappointment for me.
