Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
I honestly can't get why people have given this film such bad reviews. Yes, it was a bit slow, but I feel like that managed to coincide perfectly with the kind of lives people lived in that town. Yes, the ending may not have been as unexpected as it wanted to be, but that didn't bother me. I really did like it, it definitely wasn't like most thrillers, but it was original and wasn't as boring as I had expected it to be.
Massive Spoilers Ahead A rating of 4.7 for this movie is utterly unfair and completely nonsensical since it is very well acted by both Sophie Turner and Dylan McDermott. The story itself seems to have some flaws, or maybe just the character Josie lacks reason for her revenge to be so thoroughly planned since the only real person to blame the death of her father would be whoever judged him guilty in court (others where just doing their job and what they've been told) but she decides to get her revenge upon everyone involved which is getting really carried away and even messing with other people's lives who had nothing to do with it (Marcus is gonna probably be executed while being innocent just like her father, or at least have his life ruined) so not a lot of consideration by her part. But overall the movie is a very decent watch and it doesn't make any sense to me the average score is this low. Whoever rates this lower than 6 is having delusional expectations over small and simplistic movie that was done as well as it could.
This is a great film, ruined by the deus ex machina!
Just finished watching, It was boring with nothing going on through out the film, this deserves a few rotten tomatoes. Dylan McDermott and the rest of the actors were as always, fantastic! But the story was empty and went nowhere. Just another rush job from Hollywood. Don't waste you money.
