Splendour in the Mud (2023)
Splendour in the Mud showcases the highs, lows, laughs and missteps of Splendour in the Grass music festival's 20th anniversary. After three years of countless cancellations and delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the least of festival-goers' problems. A weather system bringing the most rain that the North Byron Bay Parkland region had seen in over 50 years would leave attendees stranded and miserable, resulting in Australia's capstone live music event's most chaotic weekend.

That was an excellent one.
It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
